“ALMOST PARADISE”

True paradise living located 7 miles north on Carova beach. A quiet and relaxing vacation awaits you in this extensively remodeled 6 bedroom 4 bath home. The top floor offers generous space with beautiful furniture and bright wood floors offering both a comfortable and beautiful area for the family to gather with a view of the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and there are flat screen TVs throughout.

The smart design and layout provides large eastern facing windows to allow healthy natural light to flood the upper level. Enjoy the sunrise from the multilevel wrap around decks or spy some of the most famous residents of Carova: the legendary heard of wild Spanish mustangs as they graze on the dunes or frolic by the sea.

With the 14'x28' private pool and the multiple levels of decking there is ample outdoor space with breathtaking views of the ocean. If you are itching to sink your toes into the warm sand by the ocean, this semi-ocean front home is a short walk to the beach and of course, should you choose to take advantage of one of the greatest benefits of the 4 wheel drive beaches, you can load up your vehicle with everything the family will need for a day on the most pristine and remote beaches on the northern Outer Banks.

Awesome vacation

The property was perfect. We loved the location. Everything was stocked very well. The pool was awesome. It was so incredible seeing the horses come right into the yard. I would definitely recommend this property!

OBX 4x4 Almost Paradise

Overall it was great. A few items around the property could be fixed, but the location is great and the house was everything we needed. We did have a water issue, it maintenance was sent out to fix the problem. The pool needed cleaned when we got there, that too was taken care of with proper service.

Reviewer Comments: The location of house was awesome, layout was fine, and got to see horses but after that was let down.We realize that the ocean air can be hard on the outside of the house but the inside really needs some love and care. Yes might have to spend some money but having towels that don't look like rags and bed spreads that aren't stained would go a long way. We own a lake rental and there are standards that obviously aren't being followed. An example is making sure air filters and vents are clean and no mold. I have many more but I think you get the idea.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house has so much potential, not least of which it’s location and views. The pool was loved by all as was the sunrises and sunsets. The house itself is in desperate need of update, not just compared to its neighbors but also in general. Lights flicker, the deck has splinters useful for slaying any potential vampires, and windows sweat like a parent watching their kids walk barefoot on said decks. All in all it was a good stay, but the “almost” qualities of the house definitely detracted from the experience.

Wonderful!

Our family rented this home over a year in advance. We were a little nervous as some bad reviews started coming in. We were happily surprised when we arrived! This home is absolutely wonderful! It was very clean on arrival. The kitchen is equipped with anything you’d need to cook for a large group. There is. wonderful game room in the lowest level that has an area to hangout. The pool and hot tub were very clean and a wonderful time! The neighborhood is very quite and peaceful! We absolutely loved our stay here and would definitely book again! The only thing to note is there were no paper towels, toilet paper or trash bags upon arrival. This wasn’t a problem because we prepared and brought some but if you don’t bring a starter for yourself it could be a problem! Overall amazing vacation!

Two separate closets had doors that weren’t working and the kitchen had missing cabinet doors. The management company responded fairly quickly, but I will never be back.

As soon as we stepped into the house it was nothing but dirt and dust. Pillows had yellow stains and pool was over chlorinated. We were unable to swim in the pool due to this. The deck was flimsy and in poor condition. This house needs some serious TLC. Will not be staying here again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, very close to the beach. Bonus we seen horses everyday in our yard. BUT the house has a very ran down feel. Things were just not maintained, things like toilets running 24/7 which then made the well run constantly. The water was so chlorinated it bleached a couple of my shirts. Decks were in rough shape, light bulbs out everywhere, had to switch some around so we had light in a bathroom. While floors, bathrooms and bedrooms were clean, the house could really use a deep clean. Pool was very nice and a good size. Out door shower area should just be torn down.

Not paradise at all

Completely disappointed! Was dirty and I have pictures of everything!! Top to bottom this house was nothing like the pictures or description!! Was completely disgusting. From the pool having a dead frogs to mouse droppings and ants all in the kitchen. And forget using the downstairs hang out area it was so musty and moldy, I couldn’t breathe my allergies were terrible. I ended up in the doctors office when I got home. So if you want to see dead animals/clean up other peoples messes/go to the hospital after your vacation because you have a terrible infection from the mold and this is the house for you!

We loved all the seating around the deck, but we did realize it made it tough to gather outside with a large group because the deck is not that deep. The house has a lot of rooms, but it has a run down feel. It needs painted. There are plants coming up through the concrete around the pool. The outdoor shower is like a catch all for all sorts of ****. There are things they set aside for repair sitting around outside. The pool gate seems ready to fall off. Still. It fits a lot of people snd you can see the ocean.

Family vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great get away. If you love the horses this house would be great for you. They stayed on the yard for 4 days. When we got there pool and hottub was gross but they responded quickly ( and fixed them. (Most chairs around pool are broken so bring your own) The house could've been cleaner f(found trash under chairs, beds, and in corners) we had an water heater problem the whole time and called it in twice with no one showing up. We had to flip the breaker to turn many times a day. Which was aggravating when you're on the 3 floor and walk down the stairs to bottom floor just to have hot water. If you relie on the towles provided you may what to bring your own (just your motel 6 towles) kitchen was well stocked, had everything i needed to cook all week. Make sure you bring you toilet paper and paper towels before you get there. Overall we had a great week.

The ice makers didn’t work on either of the fridges. Luckily there is a guy who sales it and will deliver it. The door was broken. One spatula. Plenty of dishes and glasses. No bowels for mixing (or ones with lids would be nice). No starter toliet paper. I will say Drew from maintenance was awesome. He fixed the whole on the fence so the dog couldn’t get out. And took the door off so it wouldn’t keep banging and waking up the kids( owner didn’t want to fix it). Brought us batteries for the remotes ( not a one in them). And offered to get us the ice. Thanks Drew. Replace some kitchen stuff and just general maintenance and the place would be great.

The hot tub was disgusting when we got there. The bathrooms were disgusting also. The deck on the third floor and the second floor very very very unsafe for anyone let alone kids. Very very poor water pressure. Hundreds of hundreds of flies. Had to email and complain right out of the gate. Definitely will never run through this realtor company again. For the price of the unit i was expecting much different results. The property has a condemned house directly behind 30 feet that does not showing any pictures.

Disappointed with customer service

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Poor service. We called with mainenance issues that were a danger to our family on Monday of our stay. I spoke with a lady who documented the multiple issues and never heard another word from anyone.I left multiple voicemails without a call back. We had to use the outdoor furniture to block off broken deck spindles because we have a 15 month old. Hot tub appears to have an electrical issue. Low voltage current can be felt when you touch the water with your feet on the ground outsite the tub. I was told this was normal for the area. I spoke with an electrician personally and he said to avoid using the hot tub. The house wasn't dirty when we arrived but could have used some more attention from housekeeping. Lots of sand spurs in the carpet and furniture. Neither ice makers worked and bottom level refrigerator was missing all but 2 shelves. With some maintenance and better customer service, this house would have been great.

We thought the area was absolutely beautiful but when we got into the house and saw that there was debris in the garbage cans and there were mouse traps with peanut butter on them. when we paid extra to bring our puppy that's where the disappointments started. We spent the 1st half of our 1st day there cleaning up things things in the kitchen and cleaning the bathrooms. By the time the cleaning crew got there we'd already taken care of some things because we wanted to unpack and start our vacation. There were a few things wrong with the place and the 3rd time I called be trial to find the got back to me and said that they would make amends. He said that they were going to credit us a $100 from our $6600 trip. The simple fact that I had to call them 3 times for him to finallyrespond was beyond ridiculous. We will never use beach realty again. Just a tip when a family comes down to make memories, try not ruining them for them.
