"I’ve now learned to call ahead to the hotel and see how massive the renovations are. This one was huge. No working elevator. Construction noise and Mexican music blaring from the radio all day. One stairway at the extreme end where you had to travel past carpet that must have been soaked in urine. I no longer hold holiday inn express as a hotel that will always meet certain standards. Generally old and run down. There are signs of old leaks around from the roof so that most likely means hidden mold. Renovation was long over due but it’s apparent the contractor is running the show instead of isolated areas of remodeling. It’s scattered throughout the facility."

"Helpful and friendly staff. The property is nice but a tad dated. The room was clean and comfortable and had a nice jetted tub. "

"We had a restful night in our room. The bed was comfortable, the room was very quiet, the cool night was enjoyable. The hotel is aging, but it’s reasonably well maintained. As an added bonus, we walked to the Mexican restaurant next door, and had an excellent meal (fantastic green chile!)."

We loved the quiet neighborhood and all the fun things to do around Cortez. This property will be our first choice next time we visit again!"

"Bed was ok. Pillows were grate. Pretty impressive breakfast. The Hot tub is more of a warm tub. New rooms very hot showers."

"First, our room was spotless. Check-in and out was fast and efficient. The room was large with 2 queen beds, a table and 2 chairs, TV, fridge, etc.. The shower water pressure was perfect and the towels were not small flimsy some budget motels use. They were fluffy and bright white. The owners live at the motel and take great pride in their property. It reminded me of the motels my family would stay at when I was a kid on road trips. Great memories."

"The AC/heat was not too good made room feel cold, people kept walking around and I couldn’t sleep well knowing the back entrance door was not locked, it was broken. Homeless people entered the building. Sorry but I will not be staying here again. 😏"
