We stayed at Hotel Balestri for a week. The hotel is very well situated for all the main tourist attractions in the city. We had a fourth floor, corner room with open views both across the Arno and down to the Ponte Vecchio. The room had excellent soundproofing and double glazing, so we slept very well on a comfortable bed with no disturbance. The room and the rest of the hotel was immaculate. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient. There is a bar and a bright, welcoming breakfast room. As we left they were building a deck outside in the piazza as an extension of the bar, which should prove to be an added bonus. We would not hesitate to recommend the hotel.

The view was breathtaking from the very small balcony off of the lounge area. My room was very small and we had the view of the courtyard which was the back of many buildings. The pictures on the website looked nothing like the place. The hotel was also under construction. I feel the only postive was the beautiful view of the Duomo. The staff was polite as well.

Great location and nice hotel. Highly recommend!
