"The Inn is set in a very pretty location. The textiles in the room are in much need of updating; however, they are very comfortable rooms. The bathroom was large and adequately stocked. We had a large room, but there were people above us that made so much noise it made sleep very difficult. The staff were very nice and helpful. Both this property and the Manor house across the street have been acquired recently by a new company. I do hope this company will do everything it can to improve the food in the restaurant at the Inn. It Desperately needs a real bar. Thank goodness we were able to go across the street to The Manor to have our meals and cocktails there. As there is nothing to do in Lower Slaughter, you have to drive everywhere if you want any type of nighttime activity. It is ideal for a one night stay; however, we were there for three nights."

"We had a wonderful 2 day stay. The hotel is a bit understaffed but the small team were very guest centered with the same staff checking you in, helping with bags, serving dinner then tending the bar late into the night. Always at hand to make your stay comfortable and easy. Wonderful conversationalists. The location is excellent and within easy driving distances of other Cotswold villages. Be sure to take the approximately 2 hour walk to Upper Slaughter and back in the early morning on the Wardens Trail before the small crowds arrive to see the Mill. Remember to close the gates! The restaurant serves beautiful and delicious food and wine. Would revisit instantly given an opportunity."

"The check in process was easy to understand, no issues upon arrival. Quaint little property with well equipped kitchen and nice clean, comfortable beds. The only grumble we had was that a few people had mentioned issues with the shower, I assumed that would have been fixed but unfortunately not. There was no seal on the bottom of the shower door so it kept swinging onto me whilst I was showering and I believe the hand held shower unit was missing as when you turned the shower on, water would blast out of the hole where it should have been - that either needs to be replaced or capped off. We didn't have any hot water in the evenings and although we did try, we couldn't work out why, perhaps an instruction booklet would be helpful, but we don't think it was broken as the water was hot in the morning. The village was lovely, we ate breakfast in the post office cafe across the road, the food was superb. The staff were super friendly and everyone seems to gravitate to that spot. We also went to the pub which is a very short walk away and of course, purchased the famous sausage rolls from the Cotswold Guy shop underneath the property. We were not disturbed by any noise or cooking smells from the shop. All in all we loved our stay, but the shower and hot water does need to be sorted out."
