"The hotel and grounds are beautiful, with many thoughtful touches. However, our room had extensive black mould on the bathroom ceiling and around the window. We complained and were promptly offered another room, but it appeared that the mould issue came as no surprise to the staff. The housekeeper told us that it had been a problem for a long time. The new room had no mould, but did have a toilet that had not been cleaned. It was quickly taken care of, The breakfasts were excellent, although the tables were so sticky that it was as if the plates and cutlery were glued down. Overall, The Manor House Hotel did not meet expectations for a 4-star property. "

"We stayed here for four nights as a family of four (2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 9). The cottage was really lovely, set out over three floors, with the top floor being a good sized kids bedroom accessed from the bedroom below. There was always ample parking by the church, so wasn’t an issue not having a dedicated space. A basic starter pack with essentials was provided, although we didn’t do any cooking as we made use of the many pubs and restaurants nearby. We loved having the fire and lit it every night, additional logs and kindling can be purchased from the local co-op. It was a great base to explore the nearby areas during the day and then come back to eat and drink locally. Overall I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this cottage."

"We felt we had discovered a real gem when we stayed at Slade Stables, it is one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in! It was extremely well equipped, and we had everything we could possibly need and more. A huge bonus was the full size fluffy bath sheets, rather than the small towels you are usually provided with. We loved the welcome hamper, personal meet and greet, and all the little details, such as diffusers in every room. Jane is a very friendly and welcoming host, who gave us some great recommendations on places to visit and eat. The cottage had amazing views and all the furnishings were of high quality and very comfortable. The location was ideal, perfect for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds landscape!"
