Top St. Edward's Church Hotel Reviews
The Sheep on Sheep Street
8/10 Good
"We had a lovely short stay at The Sheep. The room was tiny but lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and the car park, while challenging, was welcome. The only downside was the lack of choices for breakfast. The full English was delicious but, if you are staying multiple nights, you sometimes want something lighter. No cereals were available, nor croissants or fresh fruits. Surely, now that the breakfast buffet has been invented, there should be no going back?"
Little Elms, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswolds
8/10 Good
"Little elms was in prime position in this stunning village but a lack of attention to detail spoils it . Things like the freezer section in the smeg freezer was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned out with spillage evident. There were no waste bins upstairs in the lounge or bedrooms so you had to treck downstairs. There was nowhere to place anything on in the bathroom , a small unit would be helpful . There wasn’t even a towel rail , or any hand soap .. just very basic . The lounge lacked warmth and sadly looked and felt cold , it just lacked a few finishing touches that could make this lovely house more like a comfortable home to spend a few days in . The bed was comfortable but the top cover was stained and generally looked grubby . The kitchen was very well equipped although we didn’t cook . The downstairs cellar area again wasn’t great with a dehumidifier running constantly that could be heard . I think the price we paid for little elms was fair . Although we had a nice stay in the area I wouldn’t stay in this particular rental again"
Old Stocks Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Charming clean quiet and special"
The Stag at Stow
8/10 Good
"The room was clean, boutique like and comfortable. As you would expect from a building of that age, it creaked and groaned but never enough to disturb our sleep. Staff were friendly and welcoming and location was excellent"
The Old Antique Shop Town Centre Stylish House
8/10 Good
"We had a lovely stay in Stow. The property was as described and the location couldn’t be better. Parking is a bit tricky but it was worth it for the dedicated spot in front. Owners were very communicative and detail oriented."
Three Bed Family Friendly Cotswold Holiday Cottage in Stow-on-the-Wold - Steps Cottage
10/10 Excellent
"Property was exactly as advertised. The house was clean, with all the amenities as described. We didn't have any issues locating the property, and the check in process was easy. There is adequate parking with lots of amenities just a few minutes away - pubs, cafes, shops etc. Would book again, very happy with the experience."
Beautifully presented dog friendly holiday home - The Fleece House
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect location & gorgeous property! We loved our stay here. We were 5 adults, a 17yr old & our pet cockerpoo. The property was exactly what we needed. We spend most of the time at the property, either in the lovely large kitchen/dining/ family room or in the terraced area outside. The beds were really comfortable & it helped having the 3 bathrooms with our family dynamics, which meant we all had our own space. All the facilities were great. We didn’t even use the lounge room. I imagine it would be lovely in the colder weather to get cosy with the fire. The Fleece House ticked all the boxes we had. We did have an issue with the gate when checking in but soon realise it had just dropped down in the hinges & needed lifting slightly to be able to open it. The property is directly on the road which meant there was a bit of traffic noise in the mornings, but it was hot & we needed windows open which didn’t help. This didn’t cause any problems because we didn’t want to be lying in late. Our property manager Carlie was really helpful. We had an issue contacting her initially (tech fault) but as soon as that was sorted all was good & she was happy to help with any questions & was quick to respond. If you haven’t ever visited Stow on the Wold, we highly recommend it & certainly to book here. The location was perfect for accessing all areas of the Cotswolds. If we look to return to the area, I wouldn’t hesitate to book here & I can assure if you do, you won’t be disappointe"
