"On a whole our room was clean, fresh and very comfortable for our needs. However the wet /bathroom basin was too small and the shower needs a door or curtain as all the floor gets soaking wet. All the staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Would recommend staying here as convenient in all areas. "

"The location of the hotel is stunning, with great views from the top of Leith. Very, very quiet surroundings. The room was comfortable but with repairs needed to furniture and equipment. Food was good quality but be prepared for a wait. An interesting stay!"

"The Richard Onslow is a nice property in a nice little town. However please review your parking. Locals use the parking spaces so there were none free consequently we ended up paying for parking and walking some way with our bags. When raised with the pub they asked the locals to move but by the time we got our car over someone had parked there again! I suggest if you know you have guests coming you cone the spaces off. We only booked based on parking."

While the room boasted charming décor and ample comfort, there were minor indications that cleaning could have been more thorough, with traces of dust on certain surfaces and toiletries not replenished. "Would recommend this to anyone! Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful bed, so comfy. Lovely large room with tea & coffee making, ironing board, iron, and a jar of jelly beans! Very clean. Had a meal in the restaurant with friends. It was delicious. I had cottage pie, our friends had the pork stuffing pie, great desserts and was not overpriced either."
