"This hotel was a great find in terms of location. Just a short walk from the Natural History Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and the V&A. The building itself has a lot of character which we really liked. We booked a standard twin room and initially I was told we needed to pay £30 extra to have the beds made up as twins. I asked to see this policy as it wasn’t on the booking details and was soon told it didn’t apply - so double check! The room was small but comfortable and suited our needs. The room was definitely tired with carpet lifting in the doorway, a carpet stain by the desk, and generally a bit dusty but nothing we felt we needed to make a fuss about. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn’t pay extra for breakfast as so many nice places nearby to grab something at a cheaper price. Overall a great stay, just some minor niggles that the hotel could do with improving. "
