A great hotel and very good value and service. The room was spotless and though small, excellently designed. The hotel breakfast was delicious and excellent value too. The only flaws were the sub-par TV system which had no cable channels at all and the chromecast option no longer worked. Also the much vaunted pantry was just a glorified tea and coffee making facility. The only food were some old apples. That was at 5.30pm and remained like that until the following morning but even then the only additional food were some chocolate bars and some bite-sized pastries. When this hotel first opened the pantry was full of snacks at all times of the day. If the current owners have decided to scale things back they should no longer advertise this as a feature.

Would have preferred a security pass for the lift, we did find a non-resident in the pantry (which had bonus snacks and drinks) on our way home from the theatre district. We were given an attic room even though the hotel was not full. We had to go back to reception because our key didn’t open the door. The room was badly lit. One bedside light was missing a switch. Bathroom was so small that trying to use the basin water splashed on the floor. The loo roll was hidden behind a bath robe. Eggs Royale came on a solid untoasted bagel instead of a muffin. Only reason I gave it one star instead of zero was great food in the bar.
