"Everything about the Hotel was excellent. Lovely, friendly, very helpful staff, compty bed and room, clean and with coffee/tea/biscuits provided. Breakfast was first class, trout with poached eggs were perfect, Trish went above and beyond to help us with my disabled husband, she even collected our cases from our room and a staff member took and loaded them into our car. "We just had the room on a room only basis as the breakfast was quite expensive. The hotel is very central to the lovely city of Wells and so we had a pleasant walk around the cathedral and enjoyed a visit to a local cafe of which there are many. There was plenty of free parking which is always a bonus when you are staying so central as this was. The room was pleasant but had a four poster bed which we hadn't booked and weren't expecting which was fine for me but as my wife is quite short, she had to take a running jump to get on it as it was so high. Bed was comfortable but not the most comfortable I've ever stayed in."
