"Wow! What a great stay. The neighborhood was quiet and in close proximity to groceries/gas. The property was extremely clean and comfortable, parking was easy, the hosts have been very thoughtful about guest needs. It looks great in the photos, and the real life experience matches it. Communication was prompt and clear. We would happily return to this property the next time we are in Inverness. "

"The service was wonderful. The staff helped arrange things like taxis and a horse ride and made sure I got breakfast before an early morning tour (excellent scones!). They were especially accommodating on my last day when I was taking a late train, allowing me to shower and have a place to hang out for a little while in the late afternoon. The common areas feel historic but comfortable and well kept. The rooms are mostly updated but if you want a historic feel, be sure to request it. Pretty much all the rooms are a little different. There’s a lovely walled garden onsite and I got selfies with the Highland cows in the neighboring field. Just know that if you don’t have a car, it’s about a £12-14 cab ride from town. "

"Though the cabin itself was a bit away from amenities, it was an overall wonderful experience. The owners were lovely and held great communication. The cabin was clean and very cozy. I would absolutely stay there again! "

"Located as it is, Ballagan may not be suitable for small children, but for us as a party of 3 adults it was perfect. Clean and comfortable, well equipped and welcoming. We had expected it to be cold in Scotland in October, but were pleasantly surprised, so didn’t have to use the heating much at all, but when we did it warmed up quickly. Located within a very short distance of the Clava Cairns and Culloden battlefield, it is ideal for history buffs. Inverness is minutes away. All in all an extremely enjoyable holiday which didn’t break the bank, and certainly didn’t disappoint. Thank you"

"Head and shoulders above anyplace else we stayed in Scotland. Everything new and so thoughtfully appointed, a woman had her hand in this. Alan explained things so carefully, can use all the conveniences when you know how to use them. So helpful to be able to do laundry with. Most quiet night’s sleep I can remember in years. Zero road noise, only birdsong, and bedroom window looks on to a tranquil green lawn. Thank you Alan and Laura, wish we had more nights planned in Inverness, like home with no responsibilities."
