Second morning of our stay we had breakfast served in the bar area rather than the restaurant, it was cold, so we asked for the heating to be put on, which it was, thank you. We didn’t have the option to choose from the breakfast bar as we had the day before but were served with a large, tasty selection of pastries, most of which we didn’t eat as we were full! Do hope they didn’t go to waste!

Fabulous stay at Stoke Lodge Hotel for a short 5 day break. The location is idyllic and the hotel is slowing being renovated by the current owners. All staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

Hotel was lovely, had everything we liked. Lovely outside area, pool and we even enjoyed the pool table. The food was fantastic 5 star and really made our stay. Would definitely go back again. Only one thing that could possibly make stay even better is a little fan in the rooms when it’s super hot, especially on ground floor.

Very friendly staff and overall good facilities although some areas are rather tired and could be improved. Our room was well presented and comfortable although the lock on the door was frustratingly fiddly to operate (even the staff commented on this). We will definitely return!

The owners are gradually updating the property, which when finished will be a tranquil haven. The staff are excellent, friendly and a real asset to the hotel. Great location for trips into Dartmouth and Salcombe.

Short break away

We only stayed two nights, but everything was really good. Very friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable. Didn't get round to using the indoor pool, but, took a look and it was lovely. A central hotel to what we wanted to see, great coastal walks too. Wish we'd stayed longer.

Good accommodation for exploring the south hams

Great place to stay close to Dartmouth and the coastal path. Very comfortable bed with new white linen. Hot powerful shower. Would stay here again.

A lovely hidden Gem

Our room was lovely, one of the best beds we have had in a hotel for a while. The staff looked after us very well. It feels like a lot of love went into everything. And we really enjoyed our stay.
