Huddled on the east bank of the River Dart, the quintessentially quaint South Hams village of Kingswear, peppered with pretty houses and cosy pubs, offers visitors an exclusive holiday destination in one of Devon's loveliest waterside villages.

Set right opposite Dart Haven Marina and just an amble from the Royal Dart Yacht Club, this beautiful period property with its elegant architecture and fantastic roof terrace is wonderfully positioned within the village, sporting oodles of sumptuous space as well as staggering river views from each of its immaculate floors.

Four sublime bedrooms provide sleeping for up to eight guests with every room featuring deeply comfortable beds and their own unique perspective of the river, while upstairs the open plan kitchen and dining room creates the perfect place to prepare and share delicious home cooked meals together. Thoughtfully designed to maximise every inch of its riverside position, this room is also furnished with two lovely sofas where guests can enjoy post-supper relaxation and an evening drink or two while taking in the magnificent views of the that stretch from the river mouth across to Dartmouth's Royal Naval College and on.

At the very top of the house lies a luxurious living room with two sets of balcony doors opening out on to a fabulous roof terrace. Architecturally re-imagined the space incorporates the building’s original roof lines to create a light-filled and contemporary space that’s as inviting as it is inspiring. Curvaceous arches and deep reveals compliment tasteful furnishings that include pieces by renowned furniture designer Robert Maskrey, with a huge sinkable sofa and oak accents adding an inviting warmth to the room’s atmosphere.

Within a short drive of Broadsands Beach, Brixham Harbour and the leafy lanes at Churston where its acclaimed golf course offers 18 scenic holes of play, the house is also a mere ferry hop from Dartmouth and the spectacular South Hams coastline making it a wonderful base from which to discover and explore this beautiful corner of Devon

Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £300 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

We found the position of this accomodation perfect. Great views accross the Dart and very near to walk to the ferry for Dartmouth or the local pubs and coffee house. Close to the Train as well. Clean and well equipped this is an ideal holiday let

A beautiful house with wonderful views over to Dartmouth. The house in general was spotless only a few crumbs under table and a tray in oven still had fat on. Everything you could possibly think of was there ready to use. Home from home. Heating was all included which we enjoyed as it was a cold weekend. Comfortable beds to sleep in. The kitchen, dining room we stayed in mostly as we went with family so perfect for games around table. To book the house was all done by email I was keep informed of everything and when I did email a question I had a answer back very quick. Convenient for ferry across to Dartmouth as there isn't much to do in Kingswear especially in January. I would use this company again and certainly recommend Waterview House.

Without a doubt this is a fantastic location close to the ferry and train station in Kingswear. However, when we arrived the house was filthy - floors, carpet with dirty towels in washing machine, dirty bath mats in bathroom, dirty socks on the bed. Cleaner was called back to re clean but didnt do a great job so had to re do ourselves after she left. In addition this is not a luxury property. It is a nice comfortable house (or was once clean) and great location for easy access to Dartmouth. Views from kitchen and top floor terrace were the highlights. But cheap bedroom furniture, seals/grout missing in bathroom, broken flush buttons and carpet/walls stained and tired. Definitely not worth the luxury price tag. Maybe if cheaper and advertised as 'comfortable' it would be acceptable.

Well presented and comfortable property with all essentials catered for a large group. It is a clean, warm and well presented property in an excellent location Visiting family love to stay here- this occasion being our 3rd stay.
