"Plenty of charm and history in this hotel. We enjoyed a quiet dinner by the fireplace in the restaurant on the main floor. Continental breakfast was served in a small enclosed porch overlooking a courtyard, cheery even on a rainy morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Convenient off street parking located behind the hotel, but no elevator so be ready to carry your luggage up the staircase. "

"The hotel was clean and fine nothing to complain about. It was concerning the people walking around and to the back of the property. Make sure your car doors are locked and keep to yourself and check out and leave and it’s fine."

"Last minute booking for a couple nights in town to visit family. This property had A clean toilet A hot shower Clean sheets It is in serious need of a makeover/facelift. Staff was very friendly and helpful!"

"Cortland Motel was conveniently located to meet my needs; provided ample parking; Front Desk staff were welcoming; and the accommodations were CLEAN and SECURE."

"Overall good and I would stay there again. Bathroom and sink areas were clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Upon leaving and checking to make sure we didn't leave anything behind, I found a piece of crust under the bed from a previous guest. Not a deal breaker. TV cable channels were confusing and it could have used a "guide." Could have had more outlets to plug in the laptop near the writing desk. Some hotels offer pens and a pad of paper for guests- none here. Had little interaction with staff. Not rude, but not impressive either. Adequate. The breakfast offered was very basic. No elevator. All those having been said, it was a quiet stay, there were no major problems, it was comfortable and generally clean."

"This place is a dump with a bunch of druggies in the parking lot!! it is definitely not worth $135 a night! It is the grossest place. I’ve stayed in a long time!"

"Kind and helpful staff. We asked to be moved from a ground floor room to a higher level floor (at 10pm) and the staff member did whatever he could to make this happen. It is a small and cute hotel, very close (5 minutes) from Colgate University. "
