"We loved our stay at the Quail Lodge. I actually went with my family many years ago and this time returned with my husband. We did reserve a room with a golf pond view and it was the best choice. The pond had a peaceful water fountain that the birds just lived. Sitting and relaxing in the sun was all we needed that day. Rooms are charmingly old and have everything one could ever need. The bed was so comfortable I’m actually looking into the mattress they use. We ate twice at the restaurant and because we entered dinner close to closing hours it was a bit rushed. The food was delicious and we were pleased. Breakfast came with our booking and was very enjoyable with wonderful coffee. The room had gives, slippers, water, all the toiletries one could need. A seperate tub and walk in shower. Bathroom was huge. I’m planning a trip to the lodge now for my girlfriend and her husband. She is a avid golfer and I’m sure they will love it! "

"I we were passing through and going to stay one night, this would have been perfect, however, we were staying for four nights and without a frig, microwave, hair dryer, or coffee machine it was not practical. The staff was great and the room was clean. The bed was really comfortable as well. "

"At a convenient location. It's in a secluded and quiet area but right next to Highway 1 on this way to Big Sur. The amenities and convenience of Carmel-by-the-Sea is only a few minutes away. It's literally the last exit from the city onto Highway 1 and on to Big Sur. So you can stay very near but outside Big Sur at a relative discount."

"Did not meet expectations. Facility needs more upkeep and general maintenance, mostly on the exterior and outdoor areas. Stayed in building Q, which had litter and some trash in the open hallway for the 3 nights we were there. The 2 bedroom queen with patio room was spacious and pretty nice I side, except for the numerous spots where the wallpaper was peeling. The dirty dusty grimy patio, and the shower head that wouldn't stay in place (pole kept dropping down). Pool was a nice temperature, but there were no towels available (sometimes for hours, 2 of the 3 nights). Restaurant onsite was pricey but pretty tasty. Pickle ball courts were abundant and free to borrow equipment to play."

"We liked the convenient parking and location but the hotel itself is NOT as nice as the pictures make you believe. We had issues with our rooms door locking securely, TV working and screen door to the balcony was broken. I’m not sure our bathroom was cleaned prior to our arrival. I found the last guests contact lenses on the sink counter!"

"Nice clean room, comfy bed and good price. Free Continental breakfast. Only flaws were the weak wifi and there was no chair in the room even though there was plenty of space for one. No place to sit other than the bed. "
