"We had an amazing visit. Gretar’s house is fully equipped and amazingly designed. The views are unimaginable.We were traveling as a family (me, my wife, 2 children (ages 2 & 6), my mother-in-law, and my mom) and had a great stay. Gretar has everything you need at the house for little kids, which was super helpful. The kitchen has everything you need. The house itself is really nicely designed. The deck is great and the hot tub and sauna were really nice. Again, I can’t say enough about the views. The house may seem remote but there is a great hot springs and restaurant a few minutes down the road. We have been to Iceland a few times to visit and this by far was our best trip. It was nice to be outside of Reykjavik and get relax away from the tour buses. Also, Gretar was great to work with and very responsive. Our original flights from the States were cancelled, which pushed back our arrival a few days. Luckily, the place was still available and Gretar helped make things seamless. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. "

"This hotel was easy to find, and the shower was the best we have had in weeks. After a 26-day cruise, we spent 20 days driving thru Europe and slept in 14 different places. This room was spacious with easily adjustable temperature control and comfortable bed. There was a sport bar run by Gunnar and Camilla that had excellent food that met our needs. Being a sports bar, the menu was limited; but the food was great! We would definitely recommend staying here."
