We loved Exeter Hotel! It was clean, comfortable, convenient and really cool! We loved the excellent breakfast and really just everything about it! Highly recommend!

The hotels website and marketing is all about style with minimal substance. You have to walk thru a very busy and loud public dining area just to get to the elevators/front desk. The only way to get fresh air into the room is to open a french door, which meant that the street/construction noise and shared courtyard event space noise were constant. Threadbare linens, nonexistent water pressure with "rain shower" heads...Aside from being centrally located and well designed, not a good value for the expense.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Exeter. Great location and a beautiful facility. It was clean and quiet, and the staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone. If you are going to have a vehicle, you'll need to do a bit of walking to the closest free parking, though there is a paid overnight lot just behind the hotel. All in all a great place to stay.

The bakery at the entrance is astonishing. The buffet breakfast is up to standard. Just that there were no toothbrush and tooth paste, which kinda suprised me.

The hotel is in the heart of downtown Reykjavik. Walkable to all areas. Very modern hotel. There is a bakery that had great bagels. The on-site restaurant offered a breakfast buffet which had many options. They had live entertainment the night we were there, and was well attended. Security measures will only allow you access to your floor with a key card. Thick, plush bathrobes were appreciated. Staff were helpful in getting us in our rooms early before check in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Probably the nicest features were large, lockable lockers that we could place our luggage until check in. That gave us the freedom to start exploring the city early.

The hotel has great location, beds are confortable , shower was nice , although my room was very small. Good breakfast. Overall a very nice stay, only reason for the 3 stars is the unfriendly unwelcomed vibe by the front desk staff that continued during the full stay.
