Beach Hotels in County Down

"This was a nostalgia trip for me, several decades after the last visit. Of course it has changed. Reception staff were great as they were busy when I arrived, explaining bar/dining options and the leisure spa. Our room was spacious and luxurious, the bathroom also roomy (although you couldn't reach the toilet roll holder from the toilet!) We used the swimming pool, the spa has great facilities. We had a meal at the Percy French pub in the grounds where the food was good and the staff were...

"Staff are very friendly and helpful. The veiw looking over the ocean is very nice and our room was roomy and comfortable. However the shower mat was dirty on the one side and the coffee cups seemedcto have soap in them as we rinsed them out before using them."

Really nice touch having ho chocolate in bedroom and luxurious biscuits. We were ordering many more hot chocolate drinks that evening in the bar. Very happy stay. "

"We loved our stay at the Old Inn - rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Spa facilities etc were all beautiful and had a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Restaurant was really good - lovely food, great service and attentive staff. Young waiter and waitress (I think called Leo and Sofie) both really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great quality and freshly cooked, ordered from a menu rather than buffet. Any and all staff we encountered were friendly, chatty and helpful. Love the...

"I absolutely loved my stay...the view was impeccable and the building is so lovely...the staff were fantastic from the moment I walked into the Inn....I will be back in the spring for sure !! The location is perfect and all was just a short walk to shops and restaurants...Bangor is such a lovely seaside place...great food and people...Cheers"
