"This little town and the place we stayed was the highlight of our trip to Japan. First of all, the town itself was such a breath of fresh air after being in the middle of Tokyo most of the week. Quiet, surrounded by nature, and then we came to the place we were staying. Traditional, you have to leave your shoes by the front door upon entering. The staff was very friendly throughout our whole stay. The room was a good size, and opening the window gave you a great white noise from the river...

"This is a very nice hotel! Pay for the breakfast, it's a buffet and it's really good. It changes every day too. Be advised not much English is spoken this far out, so brush up on you Japanese. My wife's first year of college Japanese and the lady at the check in counter's slight English bridged the gap fine, but be aware to other English speaking travelers."

"Had a great and affordable stay. The staff were extremely accommodating even though I don't speak Japanese. They spoke slowly, provided maps and instructions in English, and couldn't have been more friendly and professional. The location is beautiful and nearby Koriyama, Lake inawashiro, and Mt. Bandai. "Property should consider at least an english channel for non-japanese speaking guests or maybe Youtube app like the one at Daiwa Roynet Yamagata. TV is not smart TV so we can't mirror cast and we have to end up using ipad to watch our shows."
