"A true feeling of being on vacation. The food is EXCELLENT! The room is comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed and more including little unexpected touches. The staff was incredible and attentive. The excursions were truly wonderful and meaningfully curated. The only complaint is that many of the activities were filled and we couldn’t participate in a few we wanted. We booked the trip about a week before coming and they seem to fill up fast. "Had to make an emergency trip from California to Hilo. My dad was being energency disembarked from a cruise shio where he was near death for 5 days at sea. Fortunately the Holland America medical team were able to keep him alive to Hilo where i met my mom at the ER. Dad is going to make it home eventually. The staff, especially Cindy at the front desk were BEYOND helpful and showed extreme compassion when dealing with my 79 year old mom and making sure she is as taken care of as they could...

"The wonderful people teaching the classes were so kind and proud of their culture and heritage and I felt immense amounts of gratitude for their sharing this with us. I also appreciated the housekeeping for the notes left each day and their hospitality. It did take quite a bit of time to get checked in though. I do home to return one day!"
