"Great location, close to restaurants, boutique shops and the beach, very walkable. It was clean, comfortable, a great breakfast, pool and hot tub. "

"Everything by was fine except our bathroom sink was clogged and the A/C cover wasn’t attached properly so it rattled all night. Needs more attentive maintenance that doest skip steps for the sake of time. "

"First off, the staffs were really nice. The things we asked for such as towels were promptly replaced and garbage were picked up daily. They also provided the necessities such as dish soap, laundry detergent, and other household items. Place is really clean. I would definitely go back to stay at this place."

"Location is great for daily activities. Beach close near by and easy walk to shopping and food. Bed isn’t the best but after a day of fun in the sun it was doable. Will return again!"

"Overall this is nice property 8/10. Clean well manicured botanical grounds with a quiet large patio area with AMAZING SUSNET Views. Soothing crashing waves all day and night however NO immediate ocean swimming or beach access (drive / walk for that) No onsite food / bar NOT GOOD was having to punch in a 6 to10 digit code on a keypad EVERY TIME FOR EVERY pool gate, the 1 elevator and our condo door. With multiple people in our group this became VERY frustrating. Been decades since we have stayed anywhere without a key card / digital entry. First desk staff contact with a male employee 👎 was dismissive and unpleasant to say the least. He was flat out RUDE however the 2 ladies later that afternoon were Fantastic! No parking issues and this location and it is about a 5 minute drive to all the local shops, restaurants / bars and night life. Would stay here again but only after exploring other priorities in the Kona area. "

"Holua Resort is a comfortable, family‑friendly property that delivers a relaxing stay on the Big Island. The grounds are lush and well maintained, and the pool and surrounding facilities are inviting and peaceful. Our two‑story unit was **spacious** and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of room to spread out, a functional kitchen, and comfortable sleeping areas that worked well for a longer stay. That said, the décor and finishes do feel a bit dated, so manage your expectations if you’re looking for something very modern. The one real downside was the layout of the resort itself: parking can be quite far from the units, and we found ourselves hauling luggage a long way in the rain, through areas with standing water, which was inconvenient on arrival and departure. Overall, though, the friendly atmosphere, quiet setting, and roomy accommodations made it a very pleasant stay and a place we’d consider returning to with just a bit of logistical planning."
