"The superior double room was clean, the bathroom was ok but the bath is small. The building is tired and in need of renovation. We used the spa and had a massage which was excellent. Breakfast was good."

"Great place for holidays. The house was clean and tidy. The pool was great but basic and they closed just the toddler pool while we’re there for no reason. The activities are great. We done the range rovers, it was great as only 2 people doing it but it would be very small if more people participating. The restaurant was great and food was nice."

"We have stayed in the Crown several times so were happy to re visit whilst touring the New Forest in ideal location. Helpful, cheerful staff made us welcome . Nothing to much trouble We declined an evening meal in hotel as we were meeting friends in town but breakfast was excellent wide choice available. The down side of our stay is that the hotel really now seemed "tired" appearance. Window frames paint flaking off the decor in our room (203) was "dated' in need of a refurb. Mould in bathroom / shower, mirror corroded etc For a De luxe room maybe guest bathrobes would be a welcome addition All in all we enjoyed our stay & would probably visit again and submit this review as our personal observations only In a competitive hotel industry attention to detail for the future is paramount "

"Would have given this hotel 5stars but for one thing. Our lie ins were disturbed by noisy cleaning staff chattering loudly outside our room all morning. They were so loud that they woke us every morning with their catch up chats. Otherwise everything was perfect...large rooms, comfy beds, delicious breakfast, friendly staff, and lots of parking. "

"A lovely hotel and very accommodating. They were happy to store my bike for me overnight and looked after my bag before and after check in. A great selection on the tea tray and a lovely touch with the radio in the room playing classical music when I arrived. It was a relaxing stay"

"The hotel lovely & is in a lovely area with nice grounds & staff were very helpful & friendly. But… Being a cancer patient I get very hot & cold so always book a room with air conditioning ( we even have it home !) The air conditioning in the room was being refurbished & I was not told this until I couldn’t find the remote control. We had a fan & had to leave the window open so not a good sleep due to noise outside & being hot. So we went to the spa, pool was to cold for me so Hot tub it was.. no that wasn’t even bath temperature. The sauna / steam rooms were tiny 4 people max & they were full. So we left. Dinner, 4 restaurants I think & Only offered a table at one of the restaurants ( Thai ) which was very nice. Continental Breakfast was ok & wasn’t busy & fancied cooked food, but waited 45 minutes for eggs on toast ! Coffee ran out & no staff to be seen. So we left.. My wife liked the place so maybe it’s just me being ill with lack of patience & wanting everything to be perfect !!!"

"Lovely spacious room for my family of 4. Clean, ample towels, and bedding. General areas all clean, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking was easy and onsite, and it's great how close you are walking distance into Lyndhurst high street. Breakfast was very nice and had plenty of choice. Huge thanks! "
