"I did find the room could of been a little cleaner. (Found a bandaid in our bed)
Staff was fantastic! Perfect location and hotel atmosphere was great! "
"We were a little nervous on the day of check in because of some reviews we read previously. However, we loved the hotel! The lobby is cozy and warm with a coffee machine available throughout the day. Our room felt gigantic and there are plenty of bigger rooms. The room had everything you needed and the bed was a dream of comfort. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The heater on our room, however, could use some upgrade since we were really cold in there. The train station felt really far away even though it’s only a 10-12min walk. The street apart from the hotel is very dirty. I’m sure in hotter parts of the year, transportation ca be easier since there are Citi Bikes nearby. The nearby park is lovely! Overall, we will stay again 10/10! Looking forward for a room with a balcony in the future!"
"Was originally sceptical about this hotel given some of the reviews, however was impressed by the price given the easy and quick transport to manhattan so booked it - and i would absolutely book this hotel again. I came with my boyfriend for 4 nights on a christmas trip to New York and this hotel was the perfect base for us. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the subway station and 1 stop on the M or F train to Roosevelt island and just 10 minutes to Times Square - even less to Central Park, 5th ave, etc. There are reviews mentioning the area being unsafe, and whilst I can’t say it was necessarily a ‘nice area’ - there was a few homeless people, interesting characters and a strong smell of weed almost everywhere, neither me or my boyfriend felt uncomfortable or unsafe at all. There is also quite a few options for food nearby. All the staff we spoke to were kind and helpful and the room was nice, clean, and had a surprisingly great view. Something I really appreciated was the number of power outlets in the room, there was even a usb-c port on the bedside table ! Small things to note : none of these bothered us but the mattress had a plastic covering on it which did make noise and the sheet was very thin (however there was ac and heating which worked very well so wasn’t cold) also they do charge $20 to store baggage after checking out. Overall, very good hotel for the price, location and quality. "
"The hotel is brilliant, looks newly built therefore is very modern. The rooms are a good size, queensbridge subway station is down the road from it.
Staff are great.
We asked for the room to be cleaned once in our 6 day stay - we tidied ourselves and got fresh towels but the time they did clean they didnt change the sheets which was a shame.
They provide soap, face wipes (make-up), body lotion, shampoo and conditioner.
The room is big and spacious.
I would definitely stay again. "
