This is a great property for a short stay. Full beakfast was included. All staff were fantastic. No elevator so be prepared if you have lots of luggage. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Walkable to city center

Great staff and food but rooms awful
Great staff and food , particular shout out to Annalise! However the rooms are small dark very shabby and badly in need of an upgrade. They also smelt unattractive. I won’t stay here again.

Bad experience
Shabby decor to actually torn/broken seats. Breakfast service was atrocious, food running out mid service time and cooked food still hadn’t arrived after 45 mins so had to leave without it ( had paid inclusive rate)

Excellent location for Durham University
Very short walk to station, centre of town, cathedral and central colleges. Very good food and drinks. We stayed for our son's graduation. The organization of the graduation was not user friendly but the location of the Kingslodge Inn simplified things.

In need of some tlc.
Staff were very friendly, but very few and so consequently a little stressed, especially at the bar and during breakfast. Reception info on arrival was excellent. Room ok, though required a few incidentals attention- removal of stain from carpet by the door, toilet roll holder fixed properly on wall so that roll does not fall off each time you use it, sink overhead light secured to wall properly, the addition of a bathroom bin and it would have been more comfortable to have a small armchair rather than the very uncomfortable hard chair. Attention needs to be paid to the positioning of a mirror near to a socket when using the hairdrier. Having said all of this, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom clean and I would stay again.

This inn is relatively near the station and the city centre. The inn itself is a British pub, which can provide us with some food. The room is clean and comfy.

Excellent dog friendly hotel
Fantastic hotel, very dog friendly. Lovely clean comfortable rooms with everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic, we would normally go out somewhere for an evening meal but decided to eat in ,we were not disappointed. Looking forward to visiting other hotels in the chain.
