Magical place, great food very good value.
I have wanted to stay here for some time. Finally got to do a pre Christmas stay. Our room was amazing, you get a real feel of the history of the building. A lovely warm welcome, with a welcome letter, giving some history of the hotel. Dinner was so good, a reasonable priced wine list and first class food. Breakfast which was included, so rare these days, and was very good. Really loved our stay and it will now be a place to return to, again and again. Would be a wonderful place for a wedding, family reunion, or any special occasion. Many thanks to the owner and wonderful staff for such a lovely stay.

Had an amazing stay at Albert Cottage for a Christmas party. The suite was amazing, the staff couldn’t do enough for you, and both dinner and breakfast were very good indeed. Thoroughly recommend this hotel for any occasion or just a treat!

Not enough great words to describe our stay. The service we received from Chris and others was top level. Our room was lovely and had all the amenities needed without losing on the history of building. We loved the location and proximity to Osborne house but it may not be right for those looking to be closer to the town and restaurants. Our only disappointment was that our stay was to short.

welcoming hotel with personal touch
welcoming reception. has nice character. Bedroom suite was good size though would benefit from an upgrade and modernisation. This is same throughout the hotel. Food service was good standard though not fine dining level.

This was a truly lovely and elegant accommodation. It is historic and was originally part of the Osborne estate of Price Albert and Queen Victoria. It was a garden house and visitors stayed there when visiting Osborne. Everything, but especially the remodeled bathroom, was perfect. The bath was huge, with an elegant claw-foot tub. There was also a huge shower as well. The food was excellent, and there was a gourmet restaurant on site. The architecture, garden, and ambiance were perfect for our trip. They made us feel welcome and special throughout our stay. Highly recommended. It's adjacent to the historic Osborne estate for easy visitation.

A lovely place for staying and dining
Albert Cottage Hotel is simply charming. Once part of the Osborne Estate, the covered walkway once used by Victoria & Albert remains. Our room (Alice) was more a suite, with two bedrooms, a large bathroom with both shower and soaking tub and a small central sun room with tables and chairs. The grounds are beautiful with flowering shrubs and trees and large lawns. The onsite restaurant is excellent! Creative, delicious dishes; with a good wine list and even a mixologist who enjoys creating cocktails. There is a nice inside dining room as well as outdoor seating. There’s also a lovely parkour near the reception area that is ideal for after-dinner libations and chatting with fellow travelers. Breakfast was good and they even have American-style bacon. Only thing missing were facial tissues and a safety mat for the shower. It has a slippery floor and made me uncomfortable when I used it for fear of falling. I can’t imagine nicer accommodations on the Isle of Wight.

Had a very agreeable break in this hotel with my family. Very pleasant surroundings, comfortable rooms and friendly and efficient staff. I can't think of any negatives. There was a good and varied breakfast and a comfortable and well stocked bar with a varied and good value wine list. We didn't eat in the Consort restaurant but we were provided with some of their starters in the bar which indicated a high standard there too. Some staff were new to the hotel but they all had a great attitude and were flexible and ready to help. I'd happily stay there again.

The hotel is lovely, although the decor is beginning to look a little tired (in our room anyway). The room also was a little cold until the heating came on which seemed to be at 6pm. The breakfast service was a little disappointing on the second morning. It was the perfect location for going to explore the island.

Set in gorgeous surroundings. Room was very comfortable and clean. Friendly staff and good service apart from in the restaurant. My only criticism was the food. My risotto was undercooked, the burgers and chips looked bought rather than home cooked and no one even asked if the food was OK or if we wanted dessert. I had to find someone to sign for the bill.

Lovely place
Great place to stay, lots of history attached to the property. Staff were very friendly and helpful, great evening meal and breakfast. Bedrooms are a little dated but are comfortable. Will not hesitate to stay again.

Fantastic restaurant.
The restaurant and food in general is superb. The chefs deserve a medal. Go for the crab sandwich starter followed by the open fish pie; then spoil yourself with a chocolate brownie with rum soaked raisins.....divine... The cottage has a lovely Victorian facade. However, refurbishment is clearly incomplete: the roof leaks in multiple places, and the decor is 'fading glory'. Water pressure to the showers is inadequate, but the heating system is superb. The windows let in air and too much road noise, and this bijou hotel is right on a main road to the ferry - the lorries start thundering past before 6am. Ask for a room that faces into the car park at the back (we tried several). With some secondary double glazing, a new roof, and increased water pressure to the showers, the contents would live up to the promise of the facade.

The food at breakfast and dinner was absolutely lovely, nicely presented and adequate with lovely flavours quite a treat for me as always cooking at home ( female) . Two course’s was about £80 including a couple of drinks . The room was clean and comfortable a bit old fashioned but that is to give the victorian feel I guess ! Outside looked a bit neglected but this was first weekend of opening after Covid 19 —4th July 2020......... we stayed for 2 nights in a suite .

A hotel in a building with character. Only a few minutes from the dock. Clean, warm and friendly. Only ate breakfast there but very nice. A few minutes walk up the road to Osbourn House. Straight on the main road to go up and out to anywhere on the island. Or just down the road again to get the chain ferry/bridge across the water. Good location. Our first time on IoW but will return and stay here again. New owners from 1st March and some refurbs are apparently planned.
