The Hotel had a huge delivery of new tarmac and stones when we originally passed it and there would be nowhere to park - not even close by.
We phoned up & said we had a reservation & what was the earliest time we could check in. Not before 3.00pm we were told so we decided to go on & have lunch in Ryde & have a look around.
When we returned, at 3.15pm, the lady at the bar/reception said she had no one under our name booked & she was full. We showed her the booked confirmation, but she insisted there was nothing for us. She could put us up on the top floor but as I am in a wheelchair, that was not an option.
She did not even offer to find somewhere for us to stay. We sat in the car park with tarmac & stones embedded in our shoes & tried desperately to find a place. After about 7 calls & no joy, we looked at Travelodge in Ryde & booked on line, they had a room free! So we were NOT at all impressed with the welcome, the hotel itself didn't look good, the bar area was run down. We were very disappointed with the whole experience. No customer service what-so-ever, not even a smile or apology. Terrible for a supposed 3star hotel.
