The hotel is in a convenient spot, in one direction is town quite quiant and in the opposite direction is the beach.
I looking around and close by are some more beaches in different directions and I have to go exploring.
A nice peaceful quiet stay and a cute little food festival has popped up. I might some of the culinary delights the sweets looked huge, I will try one of everything and walk miles!

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Room was clean and well equipped.
Amazing value.
I can’t believe it was that cheap to be honest. Was expecting a bit of a dive but it was really pleasant. Comfy bed, good shower.
Staff were very accommodating. Had a small issue with the toilet cistern not refilling in the first room, got moved straight away to an even better room.
Can’t fault any of it. Nice little stay

The staff are lovely and warm the hotel is very pleasant and convenient to the shops, beach everything you need.
The hotel does not stick out and in a way this is ideal because you privacy. And the seagulls do not send you up the wall outside on the street and near your window.
The traffic is less about 90% and you can breathe fresh air actually.
Walking and sught seeing are expetional and being close to the theatre and conference centre, galleries imakes the hotel attractive.
And the decor, furnishings are quite pretty sultle not standing out.
I feel nice and happy, relaxed apart from the weather. Remember to bring your coat, hat, gloves, and wellies, car, umbrella as well as sun cream
Do not attempt to swim because the water is very cold
Remember the festival is on the week end, this week end and there is the bank holiday on Monday
Come and see for yourself
Great b&b option in Eastbourne. Roy was absolutely fantastic with the communication and the room was perfect for a weekend stay.
Close to the seafront and very quiet.
I think they have made a great job of providing comfortable conditions for the clients of Mowbury court hotel.....Really good breakfast with a variety of cereal ..pastries ..cooked breakfast and extras...warm friendly staff making sure your stay is home to home
I stayed at the Mowbray to see the Sussex Coast and Kent. The hotel proved to be a great choice. My room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I had an easy walk to Eastbourne’s board walk, great local places to eat and a nice building btw.
A lovely two night stay. In a great location, close to restaurants, pier and beach. Parking is great too. Breakfast is lovely as are the staff. Arrival instructions are very
clear. Room was compact, although fine for us.

Ideally located for eating out and sea front strolls.
Basic hotel , easy parking, good breakfast however the housekeeping in the rooms could be improved especially in the bathrooms, toilet brush disgraceful !! . Blinds also thick in dust and tv unwatchable as signal kept going.

It’s very old fashion hotel, which I have prepared for that. The condition of the property is worst than I expect. The size of room is just like London. You probably could find something better if you book advance somewhere else in Eastbourne.

Problems with a parking space. Misunderstanding of the system with breakfast. There is no drinking water in the room. If any drink is left cold in the evening, it will be hot in the morning. The lack of a refrigerator, and the heat, are definitely tests. The room is hot, there is a poorly working fan. The shower cabin is not complete. Of the 2 doors, there is only one. Switch water and shower modes, periodically fail.
On the positive side: cleanliness and order, cleaning in the rooms. Coffee is very tasty in the room.
The location was great but that is the only good thing about The Mowbray.
As soon as we entered the lobby there was a damp smell.
No one to greet you or help with your bags etc.
The bed was horrible, it was uncomfortable and the two mattresses that made up a double, constantly came apart with a sheet that didn’t fit properly. The duvet came out of the cover too.
The room and bedding smelt of damp and the shower was dirty and mouldy.
Glad we only stopped for the one night.
We didn’t have breakfast, so can’t comment on that.
If you find it difficult mobility wise, there are big steps up to the property and although there is a lift to the rooms, I’m not sure it went down to where the breakfast was being served and there were lots of steps down to it.
I would not recommend The Mowbray and for the money I would have expected a lot more.

I stayed here alone, so the setup worked well for me. If I were traveling with someone, I’d probably choose a larger hotel or an Airbnb, but I would absolutely stay here again.
The staff were friendly whenever they were available, and they responded quickly when I needed anything. They provided extra towels and shower gel promptly, which I appreciated.
A few areas could use improvement. The shower would benefit from an update, even if it’s just a new showerhead, and the towels could be much softer. That said, overall it was a good stay.
We enjoyed our stay. Staff were exceptional and couldn’t be more obliging and helpful. We were even able to grab a shower before we left for the long journey home. 5 stars!
The stay was very good. The room was nice. I like the fact there are codes on the doors rather than having to worry about a key. Only minor issue is that the WiFi didn’t work.
This was an attempt to put a modern air bnb approach to an old hotel industry.
Reception was manned only when you called, entry was by digital number pads and the rooms were quiet.
Centrally located and walking distance to the seafront. Will definitively use again.
