"Really charming inn in an old Tudor building. No elevator but the man at the desk helped carry or bags. We were in a king bed room up in the attic that was charming but with dropped beams that were quite short that actually had bad on them in some areas. Not for someone taller than a meter and a half or so. There's a small ante-room between the bedroom and the bathroom that also has beams and steps and is a bit daunting during the night if you have to get up. Mostly clean but it is understandably hard to keep all the wood on the beams dusted. Our only window was a little ground-level dormer and it was hot - no AC or ceiling fan. The Dyson fan helped, but I was glad it was in September and not during a heat wave. The pub downstairs is casual and charming."

"The accommodation itself was fantastic and exactly as described. It was a lovely property and somewhere I would happily consider staying again. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and communication let the stay down. We checked in at around 7:30pm and discovered the property had not been cleaned after the previous guests. There was no clean bedding and no towels, meaning we couldn’t sleep in the bed or have a shower. We therefore had to sleep on the settee and had a very poor night’s sleep. I contacted the property management company that evening and was told someone would attend first thing the following morning, but nobody arrived. I had to chase several times and was repeatedly promised callbacks that never happened. I also requested a call from a manager, which I never received. Eventually, later that afternoon, a cleaner contacted me directly and came to rectify everything. I do feel this may not have happened without me continually chasing. To their credit, the company refunded our first night’s stay and provided a bottle of Prosecco as an apology, both of which were appreciated. Overall, the property itself was excellent. I would probably stay again, but hopefully next time it would be properly cleaned and prepared before check-in."

"We had an amazing stay at this beautiful barn. Our son was getting married and it was a perfect stay for a group of family and friends. The garden is a delight and so relaxing . Eating breakfast outside , playing pool in the games room , chilling out together in the lovely sitting room. A quirky , wonderful place to stay. We will definitely come again."
