The History



Cathedral View, originally home to Wippell ecclesiastical suppliers in the 1880’s, is a Grade II listed building with impressive original Gothic Revival features. The Norman Cathedral, which was replaced from 1270 - 1340, forms the base for the beautiful Gothic building we see today, with its famous west front and elegant nave. The old city walls can still be found in nearby Southernhay, forming part of the City Wall Trail, one of many historical walks around Exeter.
