"I had one of the rooms that hadn’t been refurbished and my first impressions wasn’t great. There was condensation running down the windows upon check in, 3pm, the very transparent curtains were hanging off their runner, which I had to do a quick make do , by tying the hanging string around the track to save them from drooping! Plus my room was at the very back over looking the car park and a generator with an extremely frustrating hum kept me from having the sleep I desperately needed before my 5 hour drive home the next day! This all being said, I was refunded my money after stating the above. Will I return, probably not, due to once bitten, but they do do a mean sticky toffee pudding!! ☺️ "

"We had a lovely stay at Daisy cottage. Warm and cosy cottage with a fun play area for children. Great location and would definitely recommend. We would love to come back!"

"Absolutely perfect for a family holiday. The little playground on the farm was ideal for our child, and the cottage itself was warm, well-insulated, and very comfortable. We really appreciated the free use of the washing machine and tumble dryer too. The owner was lovely and took great care of us. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful and remote."

"Property ok lots of lovely areas but several issues we were not happy with. Entrance to property overgrown with vegetation, muddy pathway and steps slimy and slippery . Spent the first hour cutting back the overgrown plants and clearing and cleaning the steps and pathway to make them safe and more pleasant for our 6 day stay. Garden a big let down lawn full of weeds and borders all unkempt. Unable to use the outside sofas as not pleasant overgrown with plants and weeds in the paving. Leafs and dirt in the patio area. Not nice to sit in or look at. We did do some clearing up which helped but should not have to do this. Gutter downpipe blocked so guttering over flowing badly when rained heavily. We cleared the gutter down pipe to stop potential damage to the property while it was raining so hard. Rain shower in main bathroom temperature control not working scalding hot unable to reduce the temperature. Toilet seat in main bathroom very loose. Downstairs shower room not pleasant due to discoloured and limescaled shower doors etc.. needs renewing. Washing machine but no dryer as advertised. It was a great shame as the property has so many good points and beautiful furnishings and in a great location. We paid approximately 200 a night and expected more"

"Fantastic property for big groups, we were a group of 8 friends and found the property perfect for our stay. Everything needed was supplied, very friendly and accommodating hosts. Very spacious and homely! We had a fantastic trip and would highly recommend."

"3 generations ageing from 4 to 75 years. We had a lovely 3 days over the Christmas period at this beautiful cottage. Everything you need and more is provided and the owners are on hand if needed. On arrival Nigel was there to greet us and show us around, there was also a lovely welcome pack. The cottage is so warm and homely, enough space for us all to enjoy the hot tub was ready to go which we all enjoyed. The WiFi is touch and go but to be honest it was only the teenager that missed it. We all enjoyed our time together and would recommend this property without hesitation. Thank you"

"I'd probably rate this cottage as a 4.5 Rosemary our host was on site and extremely accommodating, sorting out any issues. Her welcoming pack was extremely generous and the homemade scones with clotted cream and jam went down a treat after a long drive. A few snagging issues with the cottage requiring some maintenance. The one mile long drive to the cottage is challenging for cars with low profile tyres, ok if you have a 4x4. We were fortunate as the pot holes had been filled and less of a bumpy ride. We had a food delivery on our day of arrival and the driver commented on the road repairs. The views from the cottage were stunning and overlooking a field full of sheep. The description of the surrounding areas and photos were a bit misleading. The enclosed garden and decking was very tiny for our Doberman with the pictures suggesting there was much more secure grassed areas for our 4 legged friend to freely roam. The BBQ area could have an overhaul, with the weed membrane not serving its purpose plus seating here would capture the late afternoon sun. Really can't take away the generosity of Rosemary and our leaving gift of a jar of homemade honey was a lovely surprise. Rosemary is a bee keeper and a true hands on host."
