"As everyone says , it is a great location . It is near the walled town and it’s also near restaurants and a grocery Store .It is a nice building and the apartment is spacious especially with the terrace.That being said, honestly things are worn and tired. I feel like the owner is not putting anything but the basics into it. The washing machine was so old I was afraid to use it. The bed and sheets were good but the covers were old and towels were minimum.In the dated kitchen there were just the basics . If you turned on two major appliances the power went out and we had to call the manager.Honestly, that needs to be fixed.Everything was ok but it could be really nice. And every vrbo we go to the host gifts a bottle of wine and maybe fruit etc. Nothing!!!The manager , Cinzia was lovely , and helped when we had no power!!! All in all it was fine but I don’t think I would go back ."

"The moment we arrived Francesco greeted us warmly. The room was clean, quiet and had a lovely terrace we could enjoy along with onsite parking. The pool while unheated was a great place to relax at. Fabio, the bartender at the bar provide us excellent service and was always working hard. He’s a great representation of what good customer service should be. The breakfast staff at the breakfast buffet also went above and beyond to make sure our coffee orders and food were just right. Thank you to all the staff for making this a great stay!"

"Le Dimore del Borgo is just on the outskirts of Lucca, 5min walk and you enter the walls of Lucca. Parking at the hotel is limited, about 10ish cars in total directly at the back of the hotel in an off street secure parking lot. The hotel reception is not staffed 24-7. The rooms were very clean and spacious, with cooking facilities and dining table. The bathroom was very clean. There is no bar or restaurant in this hotel, but breakfast is available if booked in advance (I believe it is served to the room). It is very well located, safe to walk in the neighborhood and a good location to explore Lucca from. They have a very nice small dog 🐶that is at reception in the morning."
