We were in room 302 which has a sea view and was very clean and well presented. My only comment on the room is it was very warm, it felt like the heating was on, even though the outside weather was 20 degrees and overcast. I was also a bit surprised at the additional £50 I was asked to pay on check in (????), although this is refunded when you check out. The staff are very nice and the hotel very good and I would recommend a stay here. The hotel is very high up and there are a lot of steps to climb if the tramway isn't working from the beach to the top of the hill. Overall I was very pleased with our stay at the Crown Spa Hotel and would certainly revisit.

Beautiful building with lots of history, spotlessly clean. Quiet and within walking distance to the town centre. Smaller room than expected but had everything needed, including a fan in the cupboard which was great to see as the room was very warm and front windows didn’t open far. Reception staff very helpful, and barman was friendly and chatty making it a pleasant experience.
I would definitely stay here again.

"Lovely couple of days spent in York. Hotel in a good location with secure parking & only 10 - 15 minutes walk into the town centre. We only had breakfast in the hotel but it was very nice buffet style with plenty of choice continental & cooked. Staff where helpful and attentive and the hotel had ..."

"The accommodation has free parking and was convenient to walk into the city. When we were there there was no evening meals available so we had to walk to get a meal. Towels were lovely and clean but really hard and scratchy. Shower was like warm and curtains are damaged so don’t close properly"

"We had our wedding reception in the Oak room for 75 guests. Everything from start to finish was perfect. The support from planning this from Emily, all the event setup on the day, the welcome drinks, food, bar And all Staff were exceptional. We all Had an amazing time - thank you very much!"
