We only stayed at Ashbourne House for one night and it was very nice. Lovely room with a Comfortable bed, great shower and towels. Plenty if tea and coffee, and if you ran out you could get more from a dish on the landing also a sweet treat if you needed it, which I thought was a nice touch. It was a bit away from restaurants and the main shopping but public buses stopped just down the road and was easy to catch and came regularly if you didn’t have a car. If you did have a car there seemed to be plenty of parking..

Visiting york for army veterans race day at york racecourse, stayed at Ashbourne house for 2 nights. A* for everything from receiving the keys to our room to handing back on checkout. Immaculately clean, spacious room, friendly and a breakfast of kings. Thank you very much for an amazing weekend.

The room was clean, and well set out, everything was neat and tidy, and in it's own place. I didn't need breakfast or parking, but the facilities I used in the bedroom and bathroom were all that I would expect. All in all a comfortable and well furnished room/bathroom. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if visiting York. Many thanks.

The hotel was very lovely, stylish and clean, and felt cozy. Bed was comfy and the room kept warm in the evening. There’s extra amenities near the rooms if you run out of anything. There is parking on the drive which is very handy if you’re travelling by car. The location is great, and the riverside walk to reach the city was a great way to start the mornings. We didn’t opt for breakfast but the selection looked good. Fiona was a great host and incredibly helpful. I would recommend Ashbourne House! Will stay here again.

Wonderful one-night stay at Ashbourne House. The room was very spacious, well decorated and absolutely spotless. Great attention to detail - there was even a supply of cotton buds and a small sewing kit! Really conveniently located to get to York centre, and the bed was the comfiest I've ever slept in! Will 100% stay here again when visiting York.

Very smart accomodation, rooms very well presented with great decor. Very comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Very friendly owners and a simple and effective check in and out. Nice location in Fulford, on the edge of York centre and plenty of good pubs and restaurants in short walking distance.

Great Stay

I only stayed for one night, however Ashbourne House is beautifully maintained and my room was exquisite for the price. I stay in London hotels a lot and I wish I could afford somewhere like this when I'm there because it would cost a fortune. Will definitely stay again.
