With only one day and night to spend exploring Florence on this whirlwind trip we now know for next time we must stay much longer here and absolutely will insist on staying in the Villa! Great Villa outside the bustle of Florence. Fabulous views of Florence and the country side. Very nice staff. Great breakfast and dinners. Several other good restaurants nearby. Best if you have a car to get to Florence and for side trips.

Nice hotel overlooking Florence
Stunning villa on the outskirts of Florence - tucked away on a private road. The room was a good size and comfortable. We visited during the offseason, so we weren't able to take advantage of the outdoors and the property as much as we would have liked (due to weather). It looks as though there is a new pool going in. A couple of things which may be improved: the hotel does not allow you to bring food in and Florence shuts down on Sunday's except the city centre - so plan your Sunday meals accordingly (we were allowed to order pizza). Also, there are a couple of dogs at the property in the offseason and let's just say there could be more attention to picking up after the dogs. Overall, the staff we great, food was good, and this property made for a very enjoyable long weekend stay.

Two thumbs up!!
Very relaxing and beautiful place. Only 20 miuntes from the City center but quite and tranquill environtment you could feel. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants enjoy both rural and city experience in Florence.

Gorgeous Respite in Florence
This hotel is gorgeous! It’s up on the hill overlooking Florence so a taxi ride or if you have a car, all the better. The grounds are well maintained, rooms are gorgeous, breakfast is fantastic and they have snacks in the early evening as you consider cocktails. It is a very peaceful place with plenty of exploring for the kids. They did not have an appropriate dinner menu for kids however, but were willing to try. If you want to go into town for sight seeing- allow at least 30 mins to even call a taxi as the Florence public transit seems always overwhelmed. We would definitely come back again!!!

A lovely view and stay.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this family owned and lived in property. It has been maintained very well with various areas for sitting and admiring the lovely views. We ate in the restaurant twice which we enjoyed.

Beautiful romantic with amazing views. Definitely for nature lover. If you drive you have to know they the roads are very narrow and steep at some parts. Villa is dared to find as it is behind a gate in a wall. Too far to walk to city venter of that is where you want to be. I loved being there for the relaxing atmosphere.

המקום המושלם! אין מילים לתאר. הכניסה קצת הזויה, שביל עפר שמטפס לאמצע שום מקום, אבל המקום הזה פשוט מטורף. חדרים מפנקים וענקיים, האחוזה עתיקה אבל הריהוט חדש ומדהים. מיטה נוחה מאוד. נוף מהמם מהחדר. ולא רחוק מהעיר, 10-15 דק' נסיעה מהמרכז. שימו לב שחייב רכב כדי להגיע לשם. היינו בחורף, אבל באביב ובקיץ יש שם בריכה וכנראה ג'קוזי חיצוני (לא פעיל בחורף). ממליצים מאוד!

A beautiful villa just outside of Florence! There was a lot of character both in the exterior and in the antique decorations occupying the inside. The rooms are gorgeous and classic, everything was spotless and comfortable. The service, from check-in, to breakfast, to check-out was A+, very accommodating, friendly, and willing to help with whatever was needed. We checked in pretty late and they still made sure to see if we had already had dinner so that they could make space for us in the dining room if not. Definitely need a car or taxi to make it up to the villa, we weren't sure we wanted to splurge on a taxi being that there was a bus stop fairly close however once we decided to do the taxi we were very happy we did because it was quite a trek up to the actual estate. We only stayed one night but I wish we could've stayed a couple more to get the full effect. Great place for couples and a nice place to get away.

The dogs should be kept away from the food...
All very beautiful and clean. The only problem I found are the dogs. 3 big shepherds free around the property. I found one eating food from the “aperitivo” buffet and that is unacceptable. That’s why I gave a neutral score to the cleaniness.

We thought this was a lovely place to stay if your here to see Florence this is not the right hotel , although it’s only a few km from the city centre it took us over an hour to get there , it took more than 15 minutes just to get out of the gate , it’s one way and tight turn

Gem of florence
It's an amazing villa to stay with amazing hospitality and amazing food and amazing scenery. This villa is just few minutes from the town and yet you feel you're far away in country side. Highly recommend to everyone. PS. We couldn't get the taxi for long so the owner drove us to our next destination in the city which we are highly thankful for and it really tells about their hospitality and kindness.

Tuscan Paradise
Words, not even pictures can do justice to the beauty of this magical Tuscan Villa. Located in the Castello region, just up on the North hills/ outskirts of Florence, this place does not disappoint in any way. The million-dollar view (at least from the Limonaia suite) overlooks the entire city of Florence which is picturesque both day and night. The property grounds are beautiful and one could spend a half day just exploring them. Inside the villa is a large study which acts as the restaurant. The chef of the villa is quite talented, one must have the prawn risotto, ravioli and filet if available. Wine list is respectable. Breakfasts are generous, with the typical cured meats, cheeses, baked goods, juices, etc. Service from the front desk to restaurant is impeccable. Suites have old world charm and very comfortable beds. Linens and amenities are top shelf. Access to the city centre in Florence is fairly easy with a ten to fifteen minute downhill walk to take one of the buses (route 14) to Piazza San Marco. Property owners, who live on site have really done a masterful job with this place in terms of hospitality. Reserve this location without hesitation.

I don’t know where to start! The place is stunning. The view is spectacular. Rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. Location is great. Still close to center by public transport but far enough to feel more peaceful! We loved it and will be back!

Nice place.
This was a very beautiful villa. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It's far outside the city center so don't expect To go anywhere while you're here. Was very expensive so I had very high expectations. Try and stay here when it's not at peak price. If you want some alone time for the night with a lover this is probably the spot for you. I don't necessarily think it was worth what I paid.

Everything is perfect.
We had a suite for 3 people.ORANGE SUITE. The view from it to the garden and to the city was amazing. Everything was really perfect. The villa is beautiful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Bathroom too. It was lacking hair-dryer but maybe I couldn't find it. There was an in-room tea and coffee preparation set. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was quite good. We had lunch too and it was very nice. The photos on the site are real! Wi-Fi very good.

Road trip stop at Florence
Wonderfully restored and tastefully decorated historic villa. Surrounding area is stunning and service was perfect! It was just a little difficult to find; it was night. Breakfast could have been better but it was off peak season and very few guests were there. Very scenic and comfortable stay!!

Beautiful Villa in the hills
I have traveled extensively throughout Europe, and stayed at many high end hotels. This Villa tops my list. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the grounds are gorgeous and the views are absolutely stunning. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Although the menu is quite limited, the chef is willing to accommodate any requests. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning.
