"This lodging had very good beds, it was generally clean, and the basic necessities were all there. You could definitely hear people walking on the floor above, so not great sound insulation. The continental breakfast wasn't worth the price for us - the toaster didn't toast all that well, and the fresh fruit was quite limited. Overall, though, we had a safe clean place to sleep, which is what we most needed."

"I had a double bed room at the back of St George’s Lodge and to be honest I couldn’t fault it. A small fridge, kettle and tea/coffee Provisions were provided and replenished the next day. Gun safe in the wardrobe is also very handy. The room was clean , warm had hot water and a bath/shower. Over all I had a very enjoyable stay. I dealt with Nick by phone before I got there and he was very helpful. Compliments to the team there."

"Having read previous reviews my expectations were high and I was not disappointed 😊 Spotlessly clean, plenty of room, comfy beds and more cooking utensils than most homes would have. Only a 10 minute walk to the local pub “The Cricketers” who serve fantastic meals. Would certainly stay again if it was available again. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage☺️"

"Good signage made it easy to find, easy parking, lovely owners. Really great place - nicely furnished with very comfy armchair and incredibly well equipped kitchen. Shower had both a normal head and a rainfall one, which was very luxurious! Lovely location as in a cul de sac so very quiet overnight, but easy walk to the town amenities and into the countryside."

"Lake House provided a really good base for us whilst visiting family. Our first impressions were that it was very clean and in good order. Much appreciated were those extra touches, such as plenty of towels, a few toiletries, tea, coffee, sugar and cartons of milk. We didn't need to do any cooking, but we noticed that the kitchen was very well equipped for self-catering. The other thing that impressed us was that it was in such a nice quiet area. There is a pleasant walk around the lake, which is only a few yards away. Also there is a Waitrose a short distance away - easily walkable from the house. We would not hesitate to stay here again and can highly recommend it."
