Excellent location; kind staff; comfortable, stylish rooms; surprisingly quiet. A bit pricey and could benefit from small details such as a luggage rack, refrigerator, and a wider selection of TV channels. But all in all a very nice stay.

Perfect place to stay while visiting Galway's Christmas markets. It was walking distance to ask the Great stuff, and the parking was convenient.

Excellent stay - great location!
The staff are among the most helpful and friendly one can hope for. The location of the hotel is excellent especially for travelers by train. I did not eat at the restaurant but the Wylde cafe that is linked to the hotel is terrific. My one hesitation has to do with temperature control in the room. One evening it got quite chilly and I could not figure out the heating system. No thermostat. On the other hand there was a lovely long bathtub to soak in so I managed to warm up.

A cute hotel with lovely staff and a convenient location. But so noisy. The street noise is to be expected given the location, but I didn’t expect a wedding reception to be held directly below our room. The room floors and our beds vibrated from the music until 2am. A great place to party but not to sleep.

Loved our time at the Hyde with one exception. Didn’t sleep well! Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were awful!!! Too big and too hard!! Also big fancy TV and very few channels. Stayed two nights and didn’t even bother to turn it on second night. Meals at the restaurant were wonderful!! Ate there both nights because the food was so good!!!

Great location and service was awesome. Staff in all locations were very accommodating. Only downfall is the ongoing construction. The wing we stayed in required three long hallways and two elevators to get to. Once that improves it should be a better stay.

Pretty good hotel in the centre of town. The lobby is a bit uninspiring but the room was nice. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Parking wasn't the greatest -- in a municipal parking garage behind the hotel with a bit of a walk with suitcases.

The hotel itself was fabulous: clean, trendy, great location (a block from the train station, abt a 10 min walk to the central shopping/dining area). The best surprise was breakfast: amazing pancakes .. so fluffy w a bit of crunch. Cute coffee shop attached, which was handy bc so many didn't open until later. HOWEVER, take ear plugs or be prepared for street noise especially if you sleep w the windows open. The hotel is far enough from the big crowds so it's not a constant challenge to get to sleep. However, a couple of bars on the block. Apparently had a good handful college kids (I hope) making their way out late singing and yelling. Then a clean-up truck came by around 4 a.m. All I heard was bottles being crushed and tossed. Now, I'm not a light sleeper, but it def made for a rough night. I did get ear plugs for the second night, but one fell out. That night didn't have a truck but still was kept up by one solo moron yelling up and down the street.

This hotel is solid. Only issue which isn't big is the lack of check in space for a car and to drop bags/people. We parked across the street underground in the bus station lot which was fine. We were a party of 6 with teenagers and roller boards so not an issue. If you have youngsters and big luggage it might be a cancern. Other than that the place lives up to other reviews of the swank. The bar/restaurant is solid and many not staying at the hotel were coming in to eat so a good sign. Check in was easy. We got there early but they took our bags. We had them do some laundry for us as well. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Bar staff was equally great. It's 1 block walk from JFK park so a quieter street but you are less than .5 miles from all the action. Many great music bars and restaurants within walking distance. We felt fine with our kids walking around together.

The staff was fantastic. We had a couple of issues with the room, but they handled them promptly. Would definitely consider staying there on furute trips to the area.

This is the place to stay!
The hotel was beautiful and clean. Service was excellent. I love that the bar area had music in the evening. They had awesome cappuccino in the morning and delicious Irish coffee at night. Great location also!

Our stay at the Hyde Hotel was partially good but certainly lacked in one very important way. Though the staff members were pleasant, the food in the restaurant was good, and the room was generally acceptable, the fact that the water in the shower/tub barely trickled out and would only run cold and the sink spewed water every time it was on really put a dent in the stay. We had been at the Cliffs of Moher all day and greatly looked forward to hot showers. To say the least, we were greatly disappointed. If a hotel is going to charge for a room it really should ensure that basic services are available and functioning. We recommend finding a different hotel if staying in Galway.

Love it!
Beautifully updated hotel. Our room was remarkably well designed & appointed. 1 block from train station & 2 blocks from The Latin Quarter. Friendly, helpful staff. Very cheerful & modern bar & dining room. Would go back if in Galway again

A very nice hotel with a great location, only a block from the train. Easy to walk everywhere. By far the friendliest staff of any of the hotels we stayed at in Ireland. Would recommend to friends and family.
