Porsche destination charging (free) was a real bonus. Pool amazing, hotel really lovely. Food at dinner was a bit of a disaster - not sure if they were struggling for kitchen staff but wasn’t cooked at all well. Everything else was brilliant so decided on balance to ignore this (and breakfast next morning was really good). Staff were superbly helpful and bd friendly and spoke excellent English (much better than my very limited Italian!)

We had a wonderful 2 nights stay...staff were super helpful...really enjoyed the food and the restaurant ambiance...stunning views of the lake...nice gardens and pool too...front desk arranged a sunset cruise on the lake with less than 2 hours notice...a romantic delight

Special hotel stay
This hotel was amazing from start to finish the staff were very helpful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed in an apartment which is a separate building to the hotel and would recommend for families as there is lots of space, small well equipped kitchen, sofa bed and separate bedroom. We also had 2 beautiful balconies overlooking the rear secluded garden and lake. The restaurant was a highlight of our stay I cannot praise the quality and presentation enough. Without a doubt this will be a must to stay in when we return to the area.

Beautiful location.
The hotel is set in a beautiful location, right on the lakefront, with a lovely garden pool. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The only drawback was parking, as the car park was always full and seemed to be open to non-hotel guests, as well as noisy bikers. The entrance to the hotel was a u-turn from the street, relatively fine to enter, but perilously dangerous and tricky to exit...

Perfect location. Top quality in every department.
Excellent hotel. Excellent facilities. Perfect location right on the lake front. Pool area perfect. Could not recommend this hotel any higher. We stayed in the apartments...we were unsure what this would be like but were delighted with the quality of the accommodation. Looking forward to hopefully staying here again in future.

Fantastic hotel with wonderful staff
Wonderful hotel, very scenic location by the lake. The pool area is excellent. Gorgeous food. Lovely and attentive staff. It is quite close to the main road but you don't hear the noise.

Absolutely wonderful.
Love staying a Hotel Bella Riva. Very comfortable beautiful hotel on one of the prettiest parts of Lake Garda. The hotel is elegant, but not pretentious. Love eating on the terrace with the wonderful view of the lake. The food and breakfast are great. Such a real treat to be able to stay there.

Great 5* hotel!
This hotel was fantastic! Stayed in the loft apartment over looking the lake and it was superb. Great view, very spacious room, dressing room and bathroom. Hotel service was brilliant - very friendly and attentive. Hotel restaurant was top notch! Great food and at a reasonable price.

When we arrived we were upgraded to a lake view room it was absolutely beautiful and very large. The hotel had a lovely pool area on the garden overlooking the lake and the staff were absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I spent two nights at Bella Riva and were impressed. The hotel is in an attractive, tranquil location on the lake, with views of the mountains and towns in the distance. The design is chic with images from Paul Klee at the entrance, 19th century classic furniture in the bar, a good sense of space throughout, and a wide selection of books on art and architecture that we enjoyed skimming through over breakfast. Quality is high throughout so it's an easy choice for either families or couples looking for a something special. As with many hotels, drinks and extras were overpriced, even by our own Central-London standards, but that's an easy opt-out. Overall, highly recommended.

Lakeside Gem
One of the best hotels we have stayed in having been travelling regularly for over forty years. Could not fault the building, grounds or outside space for comfort and condition. The hotel restaurant was excellent whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, in fact probably the best food we enjoyed for the whole trip. All of the staff without exception were very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to ensure all requests were fully responded to.

EXCELLENT-highly recommended, a bit out of the way
Travelled with our almost two year old son. We had booked into the Apartment/Annex/Villa Mughetto and could't quite tell what we were in for. I can't comment on the the regular rooms, but at the time we booked they were double the price of the apartment. Had a large bathroom (no tub for but large walkin shower), small kitchenette with fridge and small stove and sink. Lots of space for our son to run around and on the grounds there were some grassy areas, and a nice walkway with ducks and small pebbled beach to throw rocks in the lake. Breakfast included was great, high quality, eggs per order, breads, yogurt, pastries, fruits. The only negative would be that if you wanted to be in town, then this is not for you. It was a couple kilometer (very beautiful) walk into the nearest town Maderno, and a short taxi to Salo. There was a small store nearby (5min walk) for milk and some small supplies. We were looking for some quiet/relaxation and so it suited us perfectly. Staff were very accommodating and friendly to our son. FYI cab from Desenzano train station was ~50euro. Cab to/from Salo was 13-15 euro. Private driver back to Venice airport was pricey at 300euro but we needed to do it for our schedule.

Fantastic.
This is our second time staying here. Beautiful hotel on one of the most beautiful spots on Lake Garda. Very classy hotel. Great service. The food is wonderful. We ate every dinner there. You eat right off the lakefront in a beautiful garden. Staying here is a real treat. One of my favorite places to stay

Possibly the best hotel I have stayed in.
The Bella Riva sits right on the shore of Lake Garda, giving you a direct connection with this magnificent body of water. The hotel looks traditional from the outside but is thoroughly modern on the inside and everything is of the highest quality. The staff are welcoming and friendly and while they are knowledgeable and efficient there is a relaxed feeling about the place. The restaurant wasn't just good, we both thought the food was amazing even though we eat out a lot. Downsides? Our room wasn't quite a big as we would have liked but this really is a small complaint (excuse the pun).

A winderful stay-the setting was stunning.We stayed in the villa with 2 small children which was very comfortable.The staff and service were all outstanding .We had dinner in the restaurant a few times-amazing food.Can't fault anything and will definitely go back

Amazing location on the lake but....
Stayed in the annex in an apartment like kind of room, not in the main building. Room was at best OK - weird layout and smell (mold?). However, the location is amazing on the lake and the service was great, especially from the bar manager. However I did get a serious food poisoning from the beef tartar in the restaurant (throwing up a few times). Not what one would expect from this kind of high end hotel. It is on the pricey side and I am not completely convinced it was worth it.

Luxury on the Lake Front
The hotel is beautiful and has a wonderful picturesque spot on the lakeside. There was absolutely nothing to be faulted in the room or communal spaces. This was the second stop of our honeymoon and the staff were fantastic when we checked in. Professional and friendly. The only bugbear was that service could be somewhat slow - we ordered drinks that did't arrive for more than 20 minutes and we left before my eggs ever arrived at breakfast.

Definitely not 5 star as promised.
Apartment very sparse. Was told it would cost 60 euros for use of kitchen even though we had booked B&B and were given "the apartment" The constant chiming of the church bells day and night eventually gets annoying and as the location is quite remote the fact that a small car hire was to cost 100 euros a day didn't improve the holiday.

This hotel is fantastic, I hope I'll have a chance to get back. It is a bit far from south lake actions, so you should have a car, but other then that I loved everything about it: Our room was amazing and stuff was extremely friendly and helpful.
