A very pleasant stay at a guesthouse very near to Gatwick. Comfortable bed, beautiful clean decor, and a nice rain shower. I loved meeting other guests in the lounge/dining area, and the tea and biscuits were a lovely treat. There was also a garden space to sit in.
The free wifi worked well. Also, there was a kettle and tea, coffee and biscuits in my room.
The host and his assistant provided excellent and friendly service. And it's obvious that they think about whatever a guest might need, even loaning me an outlet converter so all my gear was fully charged. They also provided a discounted trip to Gatwick, so i didn't have worry about arranging a taxi.
Bella the German shepherd was so sweet.
The stairs to the second floor are narrow and steep, although there are sturdy spindles to hold. If someone has mobility problems, they will want to check to see if a first floor room is suitable.
The Parson's Pig pub is an easy 5 minute walk, and I went for lunch and dinner. I'll need another several visits to work my way through all the options they offered - both regular pub fare, and a huge selection of various Indian cuisines. The food was delicious.
