FREE WIFI IS NOT FREE!? ITS 3POUND Hotel did not leave info regarding transfer from Airport they offer... a Taxi driver asked us why we called him and not use their shuttle. Long day of travelling from Canada... excited to shower after the plane rides... get to hotel and NO SHAMPOO OR SOAP. dispenser was empty. Went to front desk and they gave us a plastic cup of green liquid.... turns out it was a foam dish soap!? Smelt like cleaning fluid. Dissapointing.

Overall I enjoyed my 3 night stay. Breakfast was included and there were sufficient options. However, the quality of some items were inconsistent. Whilst the room was comfortable, the carpet needs cleaning and a little more attention to cleaning bathroom doors and other overlooked surfaces. I was disappointed that there was no mini fridge in the room.

The front desk manager felt the need to argue with us over whether or not breakfast was included. We paid for breakfast (through Expedia) displayed the paperwork and the manager proceeded to say she's not responsible for what a third party lists. She did not want to give us free breakfast but after arguing with her she sighed and said she would let us have breakfast. Terrible customer service. Terrible attitude. I would NEVER stay here again.

Be ready ro pay for everything, WiFi free only for 30 minutes per day, otherwise you have to pay for it. Only one type of soap to shower, bring tour own products and if you're driving be ready to pay extra per day. The breakfast was good, but then again it's not included with your reservation

Separate complaint will be sent to Travelodge. Booked in early for £10.00 only to be shown to a room that smelled of smoke/we think old and in the furnishings, carpet was terribly stained , dirty and not hoovered. Hair in bathroom floor and built up dirt all around bathroom floor edges. Both mirrors in the room unclean. Window sill dirty. We had stayed here on our arrival at Gatwick airport as well and when we asked the reception person on to call us a taxi a very unsafe situation occurred which has been since reported and met with indifference by that at same person when we returned 6 weeks later. The only positive thing to say is that the cafe/ bar staff appear to work hard trying to keep a very run down space clean. It is not their fault seats are ripped, paint is off the walls and management seems uncaring. Never again!!!

Close to countryside and airport. Spacious room, comfy bed. Helpful staff. The negative, sparsely furnished. No surface to sort possessions and foreign money, after long haul flight.

Hotel is a 5 minute drive AWAY FROM AIRPORT. Limited transportation. Airport bus is up to 8 euros one way. Taxi is b/n 17-30 euros each way. Breakfast is questionably free with limited food containing bagel (only butter/jam), bacon, sausage, cereal. Allows late checkin with friendly staff. Checkout 12pm which was very nice.

Bed is comfortable, tv is fine. Enjoyed having the tea kettle and supplies. Breakfast was very good. The rooms smell because the carpet is old and need to be replaced. Whole hotel needs a refurbishment. Bar/cafe tables very dirty.

I arrived at midnight, very tired I’d been awake since 5AM. Door key/card didn’t work, had return to lobby. Second key card didn’t work, I had to insert multiple times finally it worked. I was almost in tears. I had to get up at 4:30AM. Carpet inside room badly stained. Furniture was spartan. Room had strange odor. Bathroom was clean, but modular shower insert very slippery inside—be careful like the sign says. I ordered taxi for 5AM and it was 15 minutes late, and arrived 10 minutes after inquiring a second time. Service at desk mediocre, inattentive. Overpriced even for location. For a motel chain this was a disappointment. I wish I stayed at one of the mom and pop type places I also found listed nearby. I almost never fill these out. So maybe people only post bad reviews and those with good experiences don’t post. I may skew the rating negative and I apologize—it’s just that my experience was less than underwhelming.

Internet is free for only 30 min. There’s nothing around it. Staff are friendly but don’t really help you much. Service is extremely limited. Restaurant is good.

I guess you get what you pay for. Lost my baggage so was disappointed with lack of toiletries in the room. Room was very sparse. Coffee from machines was bloody awful. Very noisy with people coming and going all night, take ear plugs.

Although the hotel had a restaurant there were no choices of restaurants near this location it was a bit isolated there were only other hotels and a gasoline station with a small store nearby. We were there in October and the heater was on the room became too hot but the remote control didn't work.

Did not like anything. It smelled it was dirty, there was no soap to wash your hands. I was not aware that the wifi is free for only 30 minutes. While I understand that a charge of 3 pounds for 24 hours is not a lot of money but I did not want to put my credit card info online and you could not just add 3 pounds to your bill. I would never stay here again!!!!!

It was convenient and close to the airport and the shuttle service was okay;. When we came in on Sept 29th the staff was very friendly especially Carolyn very friendly and willing to help. But on Oct 10th our impression all changed. The staff at the counter was very unhelpful. My husband was just released from the hospital and wanted to rest and they would not even allow us to check in around 1:45 pm, we had to wait till 10 mins past 2 to check-in I found that was a bit to severe. We were waiting in the lobby since 11:30 am.
