Location makes this a good stay
This pension is located in the center of town. The staff made the trip enjoyable. The cafe is open for much of the day in one way or another. The rooms and the cleanliness of them could use an updating, including a deep clean. Overall it was a good enough stay.

Perfect location for hiking Camino Norte, room was clean but smelled musky. It was much quieter then I expected

Good stay
Check in at bar was organised and very friendly. Room was a good size and had a working heater which waa useful when i visited. Bathroom was dated but functional and shower was good.

Perfect Camino stopover
Perfect stop for a little basic comfort on the Camino del Norte. Friendly and helpful staff and a great salad for a late lunch!

Reception being on 1st floor, and room being 2 floors above, I had quite a problem climbing 3 flights of stairs to the room. Luckily my strong husband carried all baggage and I only did the climb once... to go to bed. Not notified there would be 3 flights if stairs to the room

New mattresses are badly needed on the beds. A good nights sleep is the most important thing of any hotel. I’m pretty sure I stayed in the same room in 2020 as I did this trip and the mattress needed replaced then. I was so tired I was able to sleep though.

Avoid at all costs
This "hotel" is basically a kip, i know its cheap, , but it is grubby, beds are uncomfortable, no breakfast, no AC, bags of used and soiled towels and restaurants linen left in a room, restaurant was closed on Sunday, but the look of it would put you off, This is like staying in a slum building, so go somewhere else and pay a little bit more for decent service and cleanliness

Excellent location. Staff were friendly and patient. Room and linens were fresh and clean. The bathroom was just a bit too cramped due to poor design to be at ease. Our window gave to an alley above an exhaust vent for a kitchen, so was unable to ventilate at night because we had to keep the window shut to keep our the bouquet of fried food ‘aromas’. In addition, someone was smoking inside the building and it seeped in through the door. But- I would stay there again if passing through the area. Didn’t take the chance to try the food at the bar, but it looked delicious and the tables were full both Thursday and Friday during hours of lunch & merienda.

Great location in the town, only a few minutes from train station and easily accessible to the Peace Museum, tourist office etc. An interesting place to visit and glad we spent a day there. Terrific cafe/bar if you go right out of hotel and turn right at corner. Turn left at the main plaza and it’s 50 meters along next to a fruit shop. A cheap and basic hotel but clean with good staff.
