4/5 - Good
we did not see a lot of Gillingham our main reason for stay in area was to visit Stourhead National Trust.

A lovely old hotel in a convenient position. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room and en-suite were very clean. A good selection of tea etc. Very nice having single rooms. I will definitely stay there again.

We had travelled about 190 miles for a wedding, arriving about 12:30 and looking for suitable facilities to change in, only to be offered the use of the disabled toilet. Far from ideal, but we managed. The room like the hotel looked dated, with only 1 packet of biscuits for the 2 of us, only bathroom ...

Fine little cottage.Fine location.Helpful host.Well restored.Thoughtful facilities, but the shower would benefit from a hand rail and non-slip floor finish inside tie enclosure.

Enjoy an outing to Riversmeet Leisure Centre during your stay in Gillingham. Savour the area's bars and restaurants.
we did not see a lot of Gillingham our main reason for stay in area was to visit Stourhead National Trust.
Our favourite place to visit in the area is The National Trust property, Stourhead which is only a few minutes drive from the White Lion
Chose the place as everywhere else close to wells was booked up due to Glastonbury Fest week. Hadn’t known anything about the town and didn’t have time to explore.
We actually went to Stourbridge Gardens and House. Really convenient for that. Close enough and very different accomodation. We enjoyed our evening meal and our breakfast - good, homely village gastro pub.
