"Older hotel that was just opening for the season. Hard to give it a fair rating. Everything was good, but not great. No complaints."

"Front staff varied - from excellent to just lip-service. We were upgraded - con! It meant we had a room on the third floor with no lift and a range of stairs in all directions. A mish-mach of furniture - not quite classy or executive as claimed :-) The water pressure was very low and the temperature low as well. We reported it but nothing was done to rectify nor were we even approached to clarify. My husband ordered a sandwich for dinner - yes a sandwich and he knew what he was ordering but was still taken back when it arrived - literally a sandwich I would make for my child’s school lunch. 2 pieces of white bread with a slice of salami, some cheese and mayonnaise. Really for a restaurant???"

"For the most part this was a good hotel, our room was spotlessly clean, had an issue when we arrived with our first room, they were very accommodating and moved us to a new room (which I think was an upgrade). Was a decent stay with comfy beds etc, and decent amenities in the rooms. It does feel like it could do with a refurb though, looking tired in a few places. We didn’t use any of the restaurant facilities, but on the way out we were accused of racking up a bill in the restaurant. Which reception didn’t seem to believe was a mistake."

"We ate supper and had breakfast in the hotel - both meals were good. The only point to make is that the room we had would be small for a long stay, but there may be larger ones. I left my glasses behind and Geoff, the owner, posted them back to me the next day."

"Parking was a bit tricky to get in underneath to park n. but very secure. The hotel staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for then. Because of our age we found the stairs a big challenge so probably would not return "
