Hikers find paradise in Glenmalure Valley with trails winding through ancient woodlands and past the historic Military Road. Grab a pint at the rustic Glenmalure Lodge after exploring nearby Lugnaquilla Mountain, where rangers know which paths offer the most spectacular valley views.
Toilet light didn't work. Floor paint flaked off onto bare feet in the bedroom. No one around when arriving or leaving. Had to wander around to find the host. Building needs a tidy up and a paint. Beautiful setting.

We stayed for one night ,a Tuesday night . I have stopped off here for a drink about two years ago while touring in Wicklow so I knew the area well enough. The bar and lounge are very dated but it suits the location in a way. After reading the reviews of the bed and breakfast I decided to take a chance and stay. The staff are so down to earth and welcoming. The room number 8 had a king sized bed and a huge flat screen TV. We had a drink in the bar which was very quiet . Breakfast was top class....
