"Pros: Love the public bath and japanese toilet and bathroom in general. Staff polite. Nice amenities. Great location to 3 rail stations and gion etc area. Cons: Room 315 is at back of bldg. view is a brick wall and dark. Hard beds (due to platform which bed is on), small room, no hooks or racks etc. to hang clothes. Sorry, wish beds were more comfy. No option for cooling or heat adjustment. "

"The room was fantastic, the location is a little inconvenient but it’s workable. The included breakfast was great but some days there was a long line for it. Overall it’s a beautiful property. "

"Overall, hotel is artistically designed but overall a little dark in style. The room is fairly spacious. It’s a nice hotel but not very traveler-friendly. You have to go to the lobby for water or coffee but the ice machine is on another floor. So you have to go up and down several floors to fill your kettle or ice bucket. It was very inconvenient. All the toiletries are in the lobby but the selection was fairly limited. The shower and bathroom was well designed and easy to use. The room was overall comfortable. The WiFi worked well. The location is slightly south of the central busy area but it was nice. Great restaurants around and Family Mart a block away was very convenient. They offer a public bath but I didn’t get to try it. Front desk is very friendly and helpful. Overall, a nice stay. Minus 1 star for the inconvenient amenities layout. "
