"This is a very nice hotel with a lovely spa, although perhaps it should be included in the price of the room as that is standard in equivalent properties we’ve stayed in. Otherwise, a luxurious hotel and I would recommend it."

Glynhill Hotel

8/10 Good
"A lovely, friendly welcome from reception, much nicer than the soulless chain hotels. Used the leisure facilities, friendly staff again and used the gym which was OK but kids swimming lessons between 5-7pm so didn’t use the pool. Towels are provided and needed a pound coin for a locker. Went for a meal and ate in the bar area which was nicely laid out. Prices were a bit high but having ordered olives and a rigatoni dish, the quality of the food made it worth the money. Only downside was having to ask for cutlery but that wasn’t a big issue. Room was spacious and clean, bed and pillows comfortable. Shower/ bath did have some mould around the sealant, this was probably down to there being no air being extracted from the bathroom and again is only a minor issue which wouldn’t stop me from staying again. Overall a good value stay."

"The Duck Bay hotel is a beautiful place set in wonderful surroundings. Our room and the hotel itself was spotless, breakfast was very good with lots of choice, the staff are helpful and extremely nice, they can’t do enough for you. Parking outside the hotel is limited, we have a blue badge and managed to get a disabled space most days. We ate in the Hotel restaurant every night. Good varied menu , again lovely settings, it’s very busy as it’s open to the public but we never waited too long, the service was excellent. The outside of the hotel is stunning with lovely floral arrangement. Will definitely return"
