"Perfect location for a young family with little ones. Right on the lake and couple hundred feet to beach/boat rental , icecream, park, great food/drinks. It’s not brand new and could use a little updating but it was cozy and great bang for the buck. "

Nestled at the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, this alpine town offers boating and fishing on Colorado's largest natural lake. Stroll the historic boardwalk for local fudge shops before hiking to Adams Falls, which locals insist is best visited before noon.
We went kayaking on the Lake. It was a wonderful day. The Grand Lake library building is impressive. There are a lot of options for restaurants on the main road into town. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We have never actually stopped in Grand Lake. Curious about how they were doing after the east troublesome fire. Looks like they are recovering. Of course the burn scar will last for generations but the town is coming back nicely. Recommend a stay

We drove around upon arrival in the early evening and as there was no traffic (very late in the season), it was wonderful to be able to stop and take some photos without worrying about cars or pedestrians. The lake was beautiful too.

Beautiful place for a layover stop. Convenient shops, and a beautiful lake to hang out. We were there in the off-season so many shops were closed but I'm sure during summer season it would be more active.

It's a beautiful place and we will definitely come back. We just won't stay at the same hotel
"A renovated hotel that was pleasant for an overnight stay with a wonderful view of Grand Lake. Bed and the couches in the front room of the Executive suite were very comfortable. For being off of the main highway into Grand Lake it was still quiet. "

"We had a wonderful stay at the Twin Pines lodge. The house exceeded our expectations in every way. The design and decorating are truly spectacular. The hosts have added all the little touches that make a stay special, including hot brownies left for us when we arrived. There is so much comfortable space in the house that our group of eleven adults all had plenty of areas to spread out. All the bedrooms have their own attractive aspects, so everyone was happy with where they ended up. We hope to stay again! "
"Emails made check-in very easy. All needed information was sent ahead of reservation.Gabrielle kept in contact and was so happy to help us make our stay as enjoyable as possible. My husband has mobility issues (uses a walker and a mobility scooter as needed) and the property was just as described. Very roomy - lovely walk-in shower - easy access to the town of Grand Lake. The courtyard is beautifully "overgrown" allowing for privacy and the feeling of being in a bit of forest all around!Gazebo, gas grill and tables available too.Had a bit of a problem with TV remote- but suspect "operator error"! We did let Gabrielle know and she offered to send someone over right away but we were not in town at the time and missed her message.NOT really a big deal... we didn't come here to watch TV anyway! Enjoy the beautiful lakes and forest! Thanks for a wonderful stay!"
