Grass Lake Hotels

"We really enjoy the Graduate hotels in general, but there was one minor issue on this stay in Ann Arbor. The thermostat was set at 68 degrees and in "cool" mode, but the temperature in the room was 74 degrees which was too warm."

"Breakfast was fresh but pretty basic. Simple continental with bagels muffins, cereal, yogurt coffee and juices. There were shoos and restaurants with close proximity. Not far from down town with many food and shopping options."

"The hotel was under construction which wasn't even the problem. The room was nice two queen beds with tv mini fridge desk one chair. I originally booked the hotel for the pool area which is super kid friendly however when we got there i was laying on the one lounge chair in the pool area and ants started crawling on me I then began to inspect the pool area and there were ants everywhere even crawling in the pool towel area. I informed staff about the problem and they said they were sending maintenence we were there for 3 days. Day two we did not return to the pool area day three we did and I looked around didn't see ants assumed the problem was taken care of sat down and again had multiple ants crawling all over me and sure enough in the pool towels too. Really is such a shame. "

"Very clean and friendly staff"

"Staff were fine, they let us check in early the first night, which was nice. The room was pretty clean, minus some weird stains around the bathroom (hair dye? Lipstick? Idk). The toilet plug had problems Sealing- had to jiggle it or it would keep running. None of that was a big deal for me. Check in/out was smooth, room was pretty clean, which was all we really needed. Great value from that perspective. The only real downside was that the door didn't seal - there was noticeable light coming through even when it was "closed." This wouldn't be a big issue except noise traveled really well from outside the door. We heard people walking by really well and people in the parking lot woke my wife up in the morning. Overall, I gave it a 4/5. With cheaper motels, I feel like being clean is my biggest concern and it checked that box."
