Top Great Pulteney Street Hotel Reviews
The Gainsborough Bath Spa
8/10 Good
"The stay itself was excellent - from the room, to the spa facilities, etc., it is a very well-serviced hotel. The pool and thermal spa were ok although could do with a bit of a clean to remove rust, but it was ok to use. The spa treatments we booked were a different story: My husband and I emailed to request couples massage as it was our 1-year wedding anniversary. As I am pregnant, we were told we would have to choose different treatments and although normally for couples massages they have to have the same treatment, they said they could accommodate this for us as it was due to the pregnancy. When the time came for the treatment we realised they booked us for 2 different treatment rooms. I did not say anything at the time as I was looking forward to my treatment. My husband enjoyed his treatment and said the therapist was excellent, and had put focus on the problem areas they discussed. For the mum-to-be treatment however, I have to say I was very disappointed. The treatment itself was underwhelming to say the least. No focus was put on the problem areas discussed, and all the massage areas had almost 0 pressure. The back and foot massage were the most disappointing, and it felt like the lady was either new, or not keen on foot massages. The only time she put in effort was on the arms which was a shame the rest of the areas didn't get the same treatment. Stay 5/5, Spa Facilities 4/5, Spa treatment 3/5"
Lansdown Grove
10/10 Excellent
"Really lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Great choice at breakfast which we really enjoyed. We were worried we would have nowhere to park, but there were plenty of spaces when we arrived."
The Bird, Bath
10/10 Excellent
"I had a wonderful stay at The Bird in Bath. The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and full of character, but what truly stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, welcoming, and hospitable throughout my stay. They made the whole experience feel special, and I would happily stay here again. Highly recommended! The only minor issue was at breakfast: I was initially served the wrong order without realising, and it was replaced halfway through my meal. A staff member also cleared away my yoghurt before I had finished it, but they kindly brought me a fresh one. It was only a small mix-up, and the team handled it helpfully."
Hotel Indigo Bath by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely property. I thought breakfast was included, I asked, and my husband and I both heard that it was. However it was charged. We only went once. The hot breakfast was mediocre."
The Ayrlington
8/10 Good
"The staff was as accommodating as they could be in the heat wave but didn’t have adequate fans for the rooms. My understanding is they are trying to have AC units installed and it will be much better when that happens. They were very kind and the location was quiet and not too far from Bath attractions. Rooms were small but adequate for a B&B."

8/10 Good
"Good one night stay. The area is lovely and the building is well maintained. Breakfast was reasonable, chosen from a menu, some of the ingredients felt quite basic, for example the pastrijes served were mini and the yoghurt was low quality and individual pot was served. The bedroom was clean enough but found previous occupants shoes in wardrobe, no apology when presenting these to reception staff. We were directed to a staircase to our bedroom which was on the top floor and a bit of a trek with suitcases, only later did we notice there is a lift. Room was small hut fine for one night and a good base for exploring Bath"
The Kennard

"All services were good and clean. Friendly staff and helpful."
