Lovely break
The place is lovely and the host seems to have thought of everything. Home made bread and cupcakes were a very nice touch. Location is great for getting to family-friendly attractions (e.g. Bewilderwood). Warm, comfy, finished to a high standard, excellent bathrooms. Our son enjoyed the box of Lego. Really can't fault it!

A Hidden Treasure
Quietly tucked away in rural Runham, Bishop’s Barn is a little gem suitable for and caters for all ages. Viv spoils you with homemade bread upon request, a delightful welcome basket and homemade cakes! All Easter themed too. Our little boy was also surprised on Easter Sunday with a basket in the shape of a sheep full of Easter eggs. Wonder who left them? Kind and thoughtful hosts who have converted the barn into a high end, glossy home style magazine -worthy property. Tastefully furnished throughout with a unique sea worthy nod in the form of wall art. A very well equipped kitchen, sustainably sourced and slightly amusing bathroom accessories, fluffy towels and crisp bed linen, and not forgetting the quality beds, make you not want to leave! And who would want to when Blanche and Bluebell lay scrummy eggs for you! A truly wonderful stay, whether you’re lucky enough to grab some solitude with peace and quiet thrown in, or if it’s a base for wandering adventures, you will not be disappointed. Oh, and Norfolk’s nice too😂

Outstanding stay
Clean, warm and lovely interior. Great communication with the owner and the property is fantastic inside and out. Stayed over New Year and the barn is in a great place to get out and about. Overall, we had a lovely relaxing weekend and would definitely return.

Bishop’s Barn: A Perfect Family Getaway
My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bishop’s Barn for a week. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable family vacation. The barn is beautifully situated in a quiet, rural location. It is also close to a number of popular attractions, such as the Broads and the Norfolk Coast The barn itself is spacious and very well-equipped, with everything we needed for our stay. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to cook and eat at home. We particularly enjoyed the living space, which is great for relaxing, eating and spending time together. The addition of toys and board games kept our little boy entertained throughout our stay. Also, the welcome pack from the host we found on arrival was very much appreciated!

Lovely property, would happily stay there again
I stay here with my wife and two children who are aged 1 and 5 and we had a lovely time. Theres lots of space, its very open and such a bright welcoming space. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the welcome basket was very good too and much appreciated and we settled in very quickly. There were some books, games and toys in the property which went down well with the kids and the garden and patio area were used on warmer days. In terms of location it is a relatively short drive to Great Yarmouth and there are some pubs even closer than this. There are places to eat nearby for the children and we never had to drive more than 30 mins to get to any of the locations we wanted to visit in Norfolk. Overall, very nice, very clean, very welcoming and a good location. We would happily stay again in the future.

Have just returned from a lovely week at this property. The property itself was spotless, and the kids loved the games, lego and books that were available. Learning to relax
Organising a short holiday with one's elderly mother and work colleague/friend who have never spent time together before can go one way or another. Thankfully it went the good way and it was made even better by this beautiful property and it's surrounding countryside. The care and detail the owners have put into making this such a comfortable place to stay and relax in was palpable. From the little ducks placed on top of the wonderfully large bath towels to the welcome basket of pots of jam and homemade cakes I wondered if I could find places like this across the world I may never need to go to a hotel again. And the relaxing part - yep that started the moment we took off our shoes and put our cases down.

Fantastic property
We had a marvellous stay. Contact with the owner was excellent and the property was spotlessly clean. On arrival the welcome pack was one of the best we have ever received, particularly the homemade bread and cakes. The owners have managed to think of everything you could possibly need for a holiday and the location is in easy reach of many of the Norfolk highlights. Would highly recommend.

A stunning property
The barn is absolutely beautiful and we had a lovely family break. We had the most wonderful weather which meant we could have breakfast outside on the patio every morning. Viv was there to meet us when we arrived and left us the most wonderful welcome pack with fresh bread and a cake as well as other goodies. There were also fresh flowers on the table. Thanks again Viv

If there were boxes to be ticked then this place ticks all of them! It’s absolutely stunning, beautifully designed and the attention to detail is wonderful. Welcome gifts are a lovely touch and felt thoroughly spoilt to have homemade cakes and bread. Coffee in the morning on the patio set us up for the day and there was no shortage of things to do in the area. It totally felt like a home from home and both my mum and I just didn’t want to leave. A fantastic few days creating some wonderful memories in a truly beautiful place.

Wonderful barn in Norfolk
We had a lovely stay at Bishops Barn. The barn has been beautifully converted and decorated. It was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. The little touches - like toys and books for the children, and the gorgeous welcome basket of treats and homemade cakes - were hugely appreciated and made it feel extra special. Runham is a great location with easy access to the Broads and surrounding area. Viv was a brilliant host - we had easy communication throughout, she offered to make us fresh bread (delicious!) and we appreciated all the tips and suggestions for outings nearby. Such a great stay, we’ll be back!

Peaceful and beautiful property
Viv & Dave are top notch holiday hosts. Viv’s communication before our stay was brilliant, always replied in a timely fashion. On arrival the property was spotless and awaiting us on the table were loads of goodies. These included fizzy wine, baked goods, jams, honeys, beer, milk and more. The property is situated well with lots to do around it. In particular it is just down the road from Thrigby Hall, worth a visit. The village is extremely quiet with only the odd dog barking, chicken clucking or tractor in the field. The beds were super comfy and towels very soft. Viv & Dave even provided a cot, changing map, nappy bags, highchair and plenty of toys/games for the little one. Check out process was extremely easy too. Can’t rate the property enough. Amazing stay. Thank you.

Norfolk Gem
The property was really spacious and "flowed" beautifully from the well appointed kitchen, through the dining area to the very roomy lounge/living area, and then on to the two bedrooms (one en suite) and family bath room. The design, cleanliness & finishes were all to an extremely high standard. There was also ample external space around the property with two patios from which to enjoy the setting sun. As an added bonus Viv had left an extremely generous welcome pack/hamper, which included, milk, coffee, a bottle of local apple juice, a bottle of beer, a half bottle of prosecco, crisps, fudge, mini pots of jam & honey & a home baked loaf. The village of Runham is extremely peaceful but there is a good choice of pubs and eateries within a 5 to 10 minute drive. Would we visit again? Most definitely.

Perfect family stay in Runham
Wonderful property and location for a young family - hosts were very thoughtful and communicative, and the barn had great facilities to a very high standard. The area has lots to do within a short drive, easy to get to many beaches, the Broads, Bewilderwood etc. Overall a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend to others.

We spent 2 weeks here at Viv and Davids wonderful holiday home .The attention to detail in their beautiful barn conversion is stunning .The decor and furnishings are of top quality and every comfort has been thoughtfully provided .The peaceful garden is a haven for butterflies and bumblebees .A perfect place to relax after exploring The Broads and all that this beautiful area has to offer . On arrival found homemade sponge complete with candles for our birthday celebration. Home made bread. Goody box full of lovely surprises. idyllic short stay
The barn conversion was amazing! Our host greeted us on arrival, and was nearby if we had had any queries. The property was spotlessly clean, and the furnishings/bedding were all 5-star. The bathrooms were also 5-star, and the showers were powerful. The kitchen had everything you could need and all equipment was very clean. Some provisions were provided, including a wonderful fresh loaf of bread, fresh cakes, jams, crisps, milk. These are little touches that make you feel looked after! The lounge area was very comfortable with lots of space, and outdoor areas on the patio and at the end of the garden were delightful. This is an excellent property, well-kept and in a quiet, country area. We would not hesitate to book again.

Hidden Gem
I did not want to write this review as it would mean that more people would visit this amazing place. The barn has everything you want both inside - fully fitted kitchen and amazing showers to the outside with patios and views of the countryside. Viv and his family are amazing hosts from the welcoming basket to guides for the area. Their barn has everything you wish for in a holiday retreat. Can’t wait to visit again.

The property is wonderful … everything you could wish for. Easily accessible to local attractions. Had the best time over the Easter break. Viv and David were fantastic hosts. Loved the homemade bread and the Easter buns. The Easter bunny even left James some surprise chocolate eggs on the doorstep ❤️. We made great use of the bbq and had table tennis tournaments over the weekend. We can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful stay …thank you xx

A great find
This is a well appointed, clean and very comfortable property with everything you could wish for to relax on a break away from life's usual hurly burly. The welcome basket of goodies including freshly baked bread, chocolate and a local beverage was much appreciated and we made use of the selection of board games and books left for guests as well as the helpful info on places to visit by car or on foot. The barn is a great base from which to further explore Norfolk and all it offers and we would love to return when the days are longer and the weather is brighter
