"Excellent location in lovely village, handy places for dog walking, near to plenty to visit and walk. Pub across the lane superb. Glorious rear garden and views. Only detraction was state of outdoor table which prohibited the 10 of us eating there together in the fine weather didn't really. Additionally drapes around 4-poster bed were quite ripped. Otherwise house is fabulous and very well equipped."

"We couldn’t ask for anything more… the old chapel was outstanding and in a stunning location.. the property had everything you could need and property full of top quality items… fluffy towels! ! the owner went out of her way to make everything very special… home made cake and biscuits … Prosecco by the bed! Amazing value for money ..i would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely be returning"

"The Gstehouse was amazing and thick walls provided a level of coolness whilst temps outside were unusually very hot. We are not so young and found the very high steep curving stairs a challenge perhaps should be emphasise a little more in the description.. Do you are wish during renovations planners had put in a loo upstairs. Place had high end electrical items and very well equipped with all kitchen gear main bathroom needs shower caddy because no ledge like the other two for shampoo soaps etc. Also hooks for towels. Fabulous quiet location and it was a magical experience for our group visiting from Australia. Sad the Big house was occupied so we couldn’t visit wish they’d cut grass along connecting path from the gate House. Thank you Helen for always being available for advice and we much appreciated all your great service. We had a memorable stay"

"The venue is currently set up for youth residential events so it doesn't have hotel facilities. Our room was modern and clean with comfortable beds and a good bathroom, but it would have benefited from a few extra amenities. Still, the staff were friendly and welcoming, we absolutely loved the estate and we look forward to visiting again soon. It's a great place for families who enjoy outdoor activities. I enjoyed a delicious Indian breakfast which made a nice change, and my daughter enjoyed her preferred breakfast food with no fuss."

"We fell in love with the cottage as soon as we entered. After reading a couple of bad reviews we were a little apprehensive, but we need not have been. The cottage has a lovely homely feel to it. Loved having the wood burner, especially as when we arrived it was -1 outside. It took a little while for the cottage to warm up, but there were plenty of radiators and blankets available, and it was lovely to snuggle up in front of the fire under a blanket and enjoy a glass of wine. The milk, flowers, logs and bottle of wine were a nice touch. Have booked up to go back next year."

"Fantastic place! Warm welcome from Frankie with clear instructions on how to get there. N.B. Don't ignore the instructions to use what3words as a satnav won't get you there!The accommodation is beautiful. Spacious, well equipped and so clean that I really could have eaten off the floor! The underfloor heating was great and the water hot and plentiful. Superb water pressure. Bed was comfortable as were both bathrooms. Kitchen well equipped with some thoughtful touches like small jars of spices and flour in the cupboard. The location is quiet and peaceful , yet convenient for nearby towns. A 3 minute drive and you're on the main road. There is a really good local shop in nearby Longtown for everyday essentials.and some good local produce ( I recommend the local ciders!). Nice walks with or without a dog . Several good pubs in driving distance although The Skirrid Inn is close enough to walk to.P.S. Dogs made welcome but need to be kept off the furniture."
